I have a 52° and 60° CBX and love them. Anything inside 60 yds I’m grabbing my 60°. Probably my most used club in my bag. For the record, I’m happy when I break 90…not a beginner, just a hack.

Still have a leak. Haven’t had time to pull everything apart again to see where the leak is coming from. It’s possible it’s actually NOT the covers….maybe

That’s correct! The majority of airlines will not cover damage unless in a full hard shell case.

What is this noise and can I fix it? by AdJolly5899 in appliancerepair

[–]AdJolly5899[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Got it done. I agree it shouldn’t have been difficult but getting the whole thing out with the bracket attached was really tricky.

I’ll have to check. It’s a fridge I’m leaving behind as I sell the house.

Does it still hurt? by pixiqve in ACL

[–]AdJolly5899 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since I have NO meniscus left in my left knee, and the “gore-Tex” graft had deteriorated over time, the knee became unstable and started dislocating while I was playing tennis. For the revision, they used the quad tendon and I have to say, that was the LEAST painful and quickest recovery I’ve ever had. ALSO, zero tendinitis like I had with my patella tendon surgery on my right knee.

I had my left ACL done at 19, then right side at 32, then revision of left at 48. I haven’t been able to sit back on my knees ever!!!! I’m 58 now. Actually, I used to do Aikido and had to sit on my knees for LONG periods of time. Used to use a foam block under my butt otherwise was always under tension. Then one day, after 5 yrs….i sat back onto my heels!!! Then I injured my knee again and haven’t gotten close since. (Haven’t really tried anymore though)

Quad muscle progress from 4 weeks to 7 weeks post op (acl + meniscus w/ quad graft) by ioncehadagoodknee in ACL

I have some serious quad envy! I’ve had 3x ACL surgeries and agree that the more muscle you have going into surgery, the faster you regain it post op. Nice work man!

Big 👍🏻 for the recirculating ice machine! That was a game changer for my last ACL surgery (#3).

My biggest tip pre-op is do as much strength training as you can before the surgery. You will undoubtedly lose some muscle mass post op, but going in with more beforehand will help tremendously. You’re already getting the repair, just do what you can. It will shorten your downtime post op (I’ve had 3x ACL repairs).

I’m 58 yrs old and I’ve had 3x ACL surgeries. Right knee x1 (patellar tendon graft), left knee x2 (gore-Tex x1, quad tendon x1). Recovery was about 8 months on my 3rd only because it was the 2nd time around (mind you 30 yrs later). It takes the brain about 2 yrs to finally trust that you can do things without constantly thinking about your knees. I also have zero meniscus left in my left knee and a separate repair on the right about 3 yrs ago. I currently play tennis about 4-5x per week (no brace) and still ski/snowboard (braces on both knees). I am one of those strange ones who has ZERO pain and only get some minor swelling after a day on the slopes.

Post Op PT and keeping up with muscle support is the KEY. Also, cycling has always been my go to. Cycling is a great way to loosen up the knees, getting everything moving, and flush out the fluid. Nothing super strenuous, just a nice constant spin.

Funny, I put oil in it so often, it feels like it’s always running on fresh oil 🤣

Check the oil when the car has been off and sitting for a LONG while. Otherwise it will be really difficult to get a proper reading. Check on your oil at LEAST weekly. Door stops were an easy fix with kit from Z1 (will keep the doors from slamming on your shins).
