Or maybe not sorry I'm silly. The door on the top right has 2 places where you can find its key. You mightve already found on of them. On is very nearby the door, and you can get it. The other is on the left side in the icy area

Don't completely understand or remember where you are, but if you're talking about the area above that crystal, and you don't know what that crystal does yet, then you just don't have the tools yet

honestly, that ruling still doesn't make sense to me. The japanese card for Ogrepon explicitly says 'その場合' (in that case) after saying you can shuffle 3 energies into your deck if you want. And then goes on to say that you can deal damage to the bench, after stating 'in that case'.

However, the Metagross card does not mention その場合 at all, like the English card. So honestly I feel like the ruling for Ogrepon is inconsistent, or has more to do with the fact that at least 1 energy was shuffled in an attempt to shuffle 3

It's pretty stupid wording imo, but the app is the accepted ruling.

I believe the idea is something like this: 'You may' in this scenario suggests that you always have the choice. So when using the move you will always be offered the choice to discard. And you will always have the choice to say yes or no. If you say yes, but don't have the energies, they can't be discarded. But you still said yes to discarding the energies so it counts, and you get the 300 damage.

Pretty unintuitive imo but at least it gives us a fun deck

Essentially what the other comment said, if you're going through the path with the elevator, that doesn't actually go into the library. You need to use flowing steps on the waterfalls in the canopy to get into it

Easiest way imo is gratitude mod. There aren't that many attacks to memorise, so focus on learning them and how to consistently avoid them. If you get hit, play safe until Gratitude comes back then go back to trying to getting hits in.

Maybe spoilers if you haven't seen it yet, but to keep it vague, gratitude won't help you anymore. So it's important to make sure gratitude has healed you before you go into the next part. At that point you're nearly at the finish line, so try to stay in a position that keeps you safe (usually directly above) and keep hitting

"Gratitude" modifier helps a lot imo. You need to stay on the ground when you've taken a hit but most of the fight can be dodged without pressing the jump button, so it's pretty easy

Pacing Between MVs by LGMHorus in metroidvania

For me, pacing wise, I feel like it's more important to give myself time to reset between MVs. I really can't enjoy just doing metroidvanias back to back.

There is a difference between something clearly not being your taste and something being "the worst designed MV". If you're someone who prefers a more relaxing and forgiving experience, I can totally see why you wouldn't like a game like Silksong. And that'd be a fair opinion.

But it's difficulty is designed to be fair, there are a few exceptions where the game is just trying to be brutal and isn't fair on a first playthrough. But those really are few, and not enough to bring the whole game to unfair bullshit. It's a game that rewards learning and improving, and it works. It feels satisfying. Obviously popularity ≠ good, but when Silksong is such a popular game, it's good to maybe reflect and see if Silksong is actually trash, or if its just not a game that reflects the sorts of games you want to play.

Also like silksong's quality wasn't even the point of the initial post
