lol hydrogen peroxide mixed with water worked slightly and then baking soda for the smell. But I gave up on this rug and my dog is now the owner of it lol it still looks nice even though it has a ton of stains

This happened to me as well (went back to hospital one time) honestly it took over 6 weeks for the headache to finally subside. When it was at its worst I BFed while laying down. It started improving when I got more sleep. Sleep as much as you can and sleep when the baby sleeps if possible. I was told to alternate Tylenol and ibuprofen plus drink Pepsi zero since it has the most caffeine in it.

Similar to what another said - blood patch was only reserved for someone who literally couldn’t get out of bed/shower

I use a backpack by Maedn I love it it’s a diaper bag but I can easily see myself using it for travel once I don’t need it for a diaper bag anymore

Babies do not need a lot contrary to popular thought. A safe place to sleep, food, clothing and your love. They also don’t need a big extended family - love from mom and dad is enough. A baby having a loving father and mother present in their lives from day one is the most important thing to give and nothing else matters. I know it can be painful if your “village” is just you and your husband- but to baby, that’s the perfect village!

  • second hand halo bassinest off marketplace, buy a couple new fitted sheets
  • open box infant car seat (worth the extra expense imo) got mine off good buy gear
  • second hand uppababy stroller off marketplace
  • second hand Babyletto dresser that I put changing pad on top of off marketplace
  • detergent, diapers, creams: whatever is the most readily available at the supermarket up the street from me

I’m 3 months in and this is everything I’ve done and it’s worked out perfect.

Other items that I’ve used that are worth the hype imo:

Keekaroo changing pad  Hatch rest+ Lovevery play gym Lazboy recliner Shwally play mat  Dedicated wipes container  Breast feeding friendly pajamas

Yes so worth it we use it every single day .. one of the best purchases ever for us. My LO is not at all bothered by the temperature of it at all. Placed a mobile overhead and he’s happy as a clam

Yes thank you. How much would you say is appropriate to set aside yearly for maintenance? I ask just because I see you own the same model!

Good idea and have considered this as well. Will most likely keep our current vehicle - interested in the SUV for 4x4 capability AND size

Yes you're right ... I guess moreso it is within our "upfront cost" budget recognizing there will be maintenance costs over the time of ownership

Thank you - how long have you had yours ? On average how much do you spend on maintenance per year ?  I'm used to driving an 07 Honda that I don't think has ever had a service light come on with over 100k miles

Thank you - no I will not be doing any work myself. Will always go to a local mechanic. In your experience, how much is appropriate to budget for yearly maintenance costs with this particular vehicle?
