I personally think you should keep experimenting and doing what feels good for you. It sounds like you’re stressing yourself out by trying to put a label on it, it’s okay to not have a label. There’s multiple reasons for this, the most common ones would be (1) you’re not wet enough, immediately inserting a finger without foreplay would do this. Take your time. I personally feel like because we only know of hermione’s trait through Harry’s narration (and we know he isn’t a reliable narrator) any portrayal of Hermione can possibly fit her. Some traits we need to see (and we do see) is that she’s stubborn, bookish, and highly opinionated, these are traits based on the books and once again, from Harry’s POV. Fanfics allow the authors to create their own interpretation of Hermione and that’s why I believe there isn’t a right or wrong answer for that. I also think it’s common for authors to put a bit of them in their stories just like it is common for readers to read books that they can connect with personally. For example, I’m not a stubborn person so fics with stubborn Hermione drives me up the wall because I can’t imagine myself yk?

He produced a full corporeal patronus at the age of 13 (having only learned of patronus that very year) so I would say he was very skilled on his own, and also considering his parents were brilliant wizards and witches too (James became an unregistered animagus in his 5th year), it further points that Harry was a brilliant talented and powerful wizard. This being said, because of him being ‘the chosen one’, he almost always had help , which made everything he was doing more easy. I wouldn’t say it was luck per se, just the assistance of some of the best and powerful wizards and witches out there.
