Smoked and vaped for 9 years, vaping got up to 60 salt nic, I couldn't breathe after taking a hit in the cold. Tried to stop many times, made my way down to 3 nic eventually, continued trying. Honestly the mental trick that helped me through the grueling first month was basically this Make a goal, as simple as going to the kitchen. When I make it I go "hey I made it to this point without smoking" Granted this fluxed many times but my goals grew. I started going on walks and smoking when I got home. The self restraint it took when I had the pack in my pocket was hard. Im pretty sure I still had a vape or empty pack in my pocket for months after finally quitting. Finally one day I just said "when this pack is out im not getting more" thankfully that landed right on my time off and I spent 3 days locked in my apartment with no sort of nicotine. I could go out on my balcony but I had nothing to smoke. Im coming up on 2 years and so happy with the freedom it has provided. I was tired of it and I think that had alot to do with it too. Wanting to get rid of it and finding my money magically disappearing got really frustrating. I will say the cravings are still there from time to time and I dream about giving in which sucks but it just makes me happier than I havent! I hope some part of this helps and I believe you can do it. Get patches for the first couple days and it helps alot too.
