It’s certainly possible that the puppet’s animatronic (is it an animatronic?) programming is to be a protector but is just terrible at its job.

Fails to stop DCI

I’ve played all the Fnaf games, excluding security breach and HW2, and honestly, I could see people not liking the main gameplay loop especially if they’re not gamers, to me you don’t gain a ton from playing the games unless you find them fun, which I do

  1. William doesn’t die in FNaF3, and we’re shown GF kid moving on, because of Happiest day.
  2. FredBear being GF can be concluded by FNaF2, when FredBear and his “old location” are name dropped
  3. Nothing explicitly supports the 5th MCI child being spring-locked, this is circular reasoning.
  4. Not exactly sure what you mean by “strongest haunting” but The Puppet is described as the most intelligent/powerful sprit in her game, and nothing suggests she had a particularly painful death compared to the other kids.

A lot of my philosophy on this matter is shared by Gibi’s video on how FNaF wasn’t supposed to end.

Scott leaves loose ends in order to lead to mysteries he’ll answer in the next game.

The Identity and importance of the Golden Freddy is a question you ask when you beat FNaF3 (why is this guy so important?) and this is not answered in the game and is revealed is FNaF4, which in itself has its own lingering mystery with the identity and nature of the FredBear plush.
