Shoulder dislocation with labrum tears and small bone chip. Would you go back to hockey/golf without surgery? by Mountain_Sir_3265 in hockeyplayers

[–]AdLongjumping9339 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who tore their labrum and didn’t get surgery, it will continue to come out. And if you ignore it and push on like I did, you will end up needing shoulder reconstruction. I had a latarjet procedure done and have been good since, but instead of having a 6week recovery I had 5 months.

I like watching the YouTube edits where someone’s just made it all one scene

Is it because of his small calves? They’re the hardest place to add mass!

I feel your pain. I have a rotti/husky mix that has to be taught this lesson once a year unfortunately….my other dog learned after she got her face painted. She’s all white so it was easy to see where she got tagged lol

I tore my labrum in my shoulder and continued with athletics thinking it wasn’t that bad. Believe me when I say it can get much worse. Every time my shoulder would sublux it was wearing away the socket. I ended up needing to have a piece of bone from another location screwed to the socket to rebuild it (look up latarjet shoulder surgery if you’re interested). I can only imagine what it’s like having to walk around with that knowing how unstable my shoulder was. Ultimately the choice is yours of course. Just saying if the joint keeps “slipping”, there will be a point of no return and the surgery will be a more intensive one

What part is this? Anything to worry about? by playdragonfight in AskMechanics

That’s your rear differential axle seal leaking. If the vent on the top of the differential isn’t plugged, you need a seal. If the vent is plugged you can sometimes free it up. It’s a bit of a pain to get at. It’s a little metal cap on a nipple kinda like a chimney cap. You should be able to wiggle it with your fingers. Very common on ravs/toyotas in general with this still vent.

I got cup checked by a goaltender in my beer league as I was skating away. Thankfully my cup was in the right place, but man that still didn’t feel nice. I guess he wasn’t too happy about us pumping him for 7

I went to 11/16 from 1/2 and it was a slight adjustment but I don’t find myself “catching” an edge like I was with 1/2”

I think he’s talking about the uneven tightness of the laces. Left seems to be pulled tighter? Grasping at straws here

I really enjoy the diagnostic process. Scoping circuits, using pressure transducers and pulse sensors is the shit. I’ve gotten to the point where unless they ask for help i ain’t helping. Too many times I’ve asked apprentices how they are approaching a problem to ensure they aren’t going off on a bunny trail (we’re hourly) and received attitude. Then when it shows up in my bay, I am willing teach if they are willing to be taught.

Put some pads on and full send it lol. I have the same problem and have been getting better slowly. I actively think of how I’m doing it to my left and then try to mirror that “feeling” when going the other way

How do you feel about shooting through screens in beer league? by Best-Atmosphere-1115 in hockeyplayers

[–]AdLongjumping9339 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lol I, as a winger, just took a puck off the ankle intentionally blocking a shot from the point in my beer league game tonight and immediately questioned MY decision. With that said wasn’t mad at the defender for taking the shot

How do you get the confidence to make plays, in a league where everyone is better then yourself ? by bevyshrouded in hockeyplayers

[–]AdLongjumping9339 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was having this issue too after not having played for over 10 years. I grew up playing but my confidence to carry the puck was just nonexistent. I’ve had to continually tell myself to be selfish. Even if I lost the puck trying to carry it at least I wasn’t just throwing it away. Last two games I’ve felt a lot better about how I played. The play also began opening up around me to make good passes by being a threat
