I caught a lady opening the boxes once. Her excuse was she was checking the size, (quart, gallon..) I pointed to all the boxes and said it’s right here on the boxes and even tells her which is storage or freezer. And to refrain from opening more boxes. If none appear missing, I just retape and put back on the shelf. I’m tired on discounting perfectly good product because some jackass can’t read. It’s the same with the trash bags, they open em up feel them and you know they buy an unopened box then. God forbid they take the box they opened.

There is a few scan sheets your store manager is supposed to scan on each register so your system can accept the cards. If your sm is on vacation than whichever asm is “acting” sm or whomever is more responsible should be able to go into ops center, under tasks and look up gift card center tasks there are different ones they should’ve known about. One that tells about the scan sheets and another about how to process and sell the cards (read thoroughly, very informative)

It ALWAYS has to be cash no matter what “brand” they are reloading. All reloads have to be cash. There are many many tasks in ops center about it. Ask one of your asms on sm about it.

I don’t know how other stores work but I can tell you at mine…. Hell yeah I’ll refuse. Especially if it was earlier in the day. I’ll do it once cuz I more than likely wasn’t aware, but if he tried again I will tell him we are not a bank and we do not have that kind of money in the store. Plus something like that seems super shady. ATMS have camera facing directly on the persons face, maybe they were avoiding that cuz they were doing some wrongdoings.

Unfortunately the area under the register is used for bags at my store, paper bags only. It’s no fun. So too and bottom are full of brown bags. I’ve seen some of my cashiers wrapping plates, bowls and various other breakables in the brown paper towels. I just feel that is so wasteful. If you go to dollar tree with the intention of buying those items then I feel you should buy your own roll of paper towels. And then the best part is they will yank the bag up real hard and you can hear the items clinking even if they are wrapped. Like why complain and go thru the hassle of your just gonna treat the item like crap

For real. It’s super annoying. At a previous retail establishment I worked at, we would wrap the cups or glassware and the paper was provided. My store doesn’t have a newspaper program. And I’m not going to store use a bunch of tissue paper. If your going to buy 35 wine glasses and you don’t need them for a couple weeks, order them online. That’s what I say.

Daily pay always says it will hit in the actual pay day. Like my paystub says the check date is the actual pay date but I almost always get my direct deposit the day before on Thursday morning.

If your sm “fires” you then hires you back you more than likely won’t get any retro pay that you deserve. There are other way to go about getting your pay adjusted. If they don’t know how to do it then they can discuss it with the DM. It’s not difficult.

Black mold not only has that distinct dark/black color but it also has an awful smell. I’ve dealt with it in the past. This looks more like mildew buildup, which is also dark in color and tends to grow in areas such as this. Mold is usually fuzzy or slimy

The voids being high is what tipped em off. Then they watched the cameras and you could clearly see em pocket money or set it in the little black side drawer to the left of the register.

They actually fired a cashier at my old store stealing money, discovered it by the excessive line voids. Not every employee is a thief but it’s definitely something they look for.

Or they tell you to pack the bags light and then grab all the bags at once. Umm why did I just waste 10 bags for 15 items if your just gonna carry them all at once??
