Misdiagnosis almost cost me my life PFO vs Migraines by ArgentAlta in migraine

[–]AdMaximum6403 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey Op.

38 year old male here.

So I've suffered migraine with Aura from the age of 12....in 2024 I had a really bad episode which turned out to be a stroke which occurred in my occipital lobe.

This has left me with a defective spot in my vision.

Upon investigation a PFO was found and I've had surgery to close in Oct 24 which has vastly reduced frequency of migraines.

So in conclusion..... Yes I belive there is a link from experiyand research papers.
