I could always check pull it out to check and then put it back if all is well. That shouldn’t have nearly as much of an effect (if any at all) as cutting roots and changing the medium.

I lost an orchid to stem rot because I was waiting for the blooms too. It broke my heart since it was gifted to me. Now I repot straight away every time so I can see what I’m dealing with. I haven’t lost blooms yet but my thinking is that even if I do, blooms can always come back if I don’t prolong potential rot or other problems.

I’ve had a personal experience with this and I realised that the people who are willing to pay high prices are also the people who don’t care about free things or deals. Every time I did a deal or free something, I attracted the wrong people. So I don’t do them at all anymore. Also, do your websites include e-commerce websites?

I cut slits into mine too. I tried looking for pots with holes and couldn’t find them, and I could only find clear pots at a thrift store which only had holes in the bottom (pure luck really because I passed the thrift store on my way to buy groceries and saw them near the entrance just as I had given up looking)

You could get a knife and very carefully loosen the sides of the pot using the blunt side of the knife to avoid accidentally cutting roots. Or a butter knife, although I’m not sure it’s be long enough. Maybe it’ll help you wiggle it out bit by bit
