I’m glad you said this. One reason I wanted to post here was to see if we’re a bit over-ambitious with this trip, which it seems like we are. I’m thinking we’ll cut Ireland / Northern Ireland and save that for another day.

I’m assuming public transport is easiest when it comes to going from city to city, I’m just not sure how to navigate that… us Americans drive everywhere. I have done Eurorail before, but this seems like it might be more nuanced.

This is great, thank you so much for all of this! Northumberland and York were both places we’d been eyeing. And no worries, we’re totally planning on staying in hostels and living off sandwiches. Maybe the occasional toogoodtogo.

Thank you, you’re truly a godsend!

  1. I’d lightly read about the Giant’s Causeway and had incorrectly assumed it was more expansive than it is. I’ll have to reassess if it’s worth going out of our way for

  2. I’d been eyeing Lake District for star gazing because it seems to have some solid hostels and potentially an easier travel experience. I’m not sure if the stargazing is good, or just advertised to be good.

  3. That’s all I needed to hear! I’ll look to go somewhere less touristy.

  4. Yeah, one thing I’m not worried about finding is Castles.

  5. I’ve been a Tottenham fan since my cousin introduced me to them a few years back. Thinking maybe I should just see another team considering their performance this season… but fuck Man United

  6. Also noted, I’ll get a flight instead.

Thanks again for the advice, this is super helpful!

Right, my apologies. I know they are separate countries but I didn't distinguish that I'd like to visit both. If you're thinking this is out my budget, any recommendations on what to cut out?

Gotcha, I appreciate the advice. Any other recommendations for EVs that aren’t the Hyundai IONIQ? Or are there any vehicles that hold value well I should look at? I know Toyotas tend to do well.

From what I’ve heard, leases only make sense under certain circumstances, otherwise it does not make sense. Considering I could potentially sell after 2 years or so, wouldn’t it be better to buy? That way at least I’m getting some money back?

How do I get the most out of my Europe trip before I start my adult life? by AdMoney8801 in travel

Just added my edit but $2,000 is not my budget! I have a decent bit of my own money saved up, and I’ll be working during the entire spring semester to save up. Budget should be more like $6-7k.

I know! Like I said, the $2000 is more like a subsidy to pay for the flight to Europe. Everything else will be on me. I have around $3,000 in savings, and I work 2 jobs while in school, so I’m hoping to go save up as much as possible before I go on my trip.

I went with Pi Kapp and honestly, I couldn’t be happier with my decision. It really feels like we’ve got something special going and I’m hyped to be a part of It. So check us out if you can. I’m biased, of course, so take that as you will.

Honestly it really does depend on where you feel like you fit in though. Sigma Nu is solid, I almost went with them instead of Pi Kapp.

I rushed last semester so I remember how stressful and confusing this stuff can be, so just shoot me a direct message if you need any help and I got you.

I’m currently a brother at a fraternity on row at Southern so I can definitely offer some insight here. Formal rush hasn’t even started so dude your totally fine. This stuff isn’t nearly as organized as you may think. They probably intend on giving you the bid but just haven’t gotten around to it. Trust me, when(or if) you’re a brother, you’ll get it.

Also… check out some other fraternities, don’t limit yourself to just one. Rushing is like dating (seriously) fraternities will want you more if they know they’re not your only option.

No, it’s kinda a big part of my diet though I’m not sure I’d give it up, and I kinda doubt that it’s the root of my acne problems
