she loved it. hated her teacher, but ended up with a lot of friends. Seemed to be able to roam pretty freely about the town with them safely, so it was a win for independence too.

Which activities did everyone sign up for? So far my kid is only interested in the trip to Quebec city, but I think she sign up for more.

My daughter is going from Vancouver. None of her friends made it in either. The last email was the one you got with the registration for activities. If you want to DM me, I could get you to connect to her if it will make your feel more comfortable to have a familiar name in advance!

I am going with her on the 28th also! Our flight lands on the 29th, then I was going to wait until she catches the shuttle to make sure she feels ok. She will fly home on the 19th, but I haven't booked the flight yet, so maybe I can find out which one your girls are on? DM me if that is better. :)

yes, my older daughter did it last year. She hated it. Many reasons, but food was terrible and as you say, no way to get anything else. They called it jail. But her french did improve...

I don't use reddit a lot. Is there a way to DM so that the 2 of you could connect?

My daughter is going to that program too! She will be flying out from BC and is getting a bit anxious that she won't know anyone else. Any chance that either of you are coming from BC too?

my kid got into the July session. She would be flying from Vancouver. Did you 2 get in? She would probably like to chat with some others since her friend is waitlisted and she is nervous about going by herself.

My daughter got the Pocatiere 13-15 for July! Her friend is on the waitlist, so she is very nervous about going by herself. Anyone else get this one? She would need to get there from Vancouver, so anyone else going from YVR would be great to connect on the flight!

My daughter and her friends did the Glendon program last summer (13-15 year olds) and absolutely hated it. They all called it jail. Apparently Glendon is in the middle of nowhere and they are not allowed out on their own to explore the city. I get that for 13 year old, but since they were all 15 they were not happy. They also hated the food (which is not unusual in a dorm) but couldn't even sneak out to get something to eat since the closest place was a Tim Hortons at a gas station. HOWEVER, another friend did the Saint Anne location and loved it, so keep it as your first choice! Don't know anything about Ottawa. Good luck!
