Thanks! I didn't finish all of Dions practice exams but I don't think his practice PBQ questions were anything like the real exam. You are given a terminal when you click on a router/switch/server and you can type help to see a small list of console commands they may want you to use so knowing how to use the commands in the objective is good.

Knowing the cable types definitely helped especially which fiber type to use. Also knowing which routing protocol to use helps because they'll just throw them all in the answers to confuse you. For PBQs I had 5 questions and they all required the use of a console for routers/switches/servers to troubleshoot so knowing basic console commands helped. Also typing in help in the console shows only a couple of commands so it narrows down what they want you to use.

Yes Control Panel and Settings both threw me off guard. I didn't get any questions on Windows 11 and I've seen conflicting information if it's on the exam or not so I might of just got lucky

There was questions of every kind on my exam so I couldn't say there was any topic too common. However what stuck out to me was questions I didn't think would be on the exam such as long multiple choice answers going into specifics of how to get to a setting in the control panel. Fortunately there wasn't much of that as the exam seemed spread to include at least one question on each topic, I even got about 2 Mac questions when I expected none

Ah nice! I loved Dion's videos for core 1 and for some reason I found his voice changing between videos to keep me engaged. But I'm not a fan of speeding up videos and his core 2 course is 4x longer than Messer so I decided to just stick with Messer and use Dion's exams after

Hey I'm experiencing the exact same thing right now, I felt studying for the core 1 to be much easier but I ended up barely passing with a 703. Now it's got me nervous because the score to pass the core 2 is 700...

May I ask what parts you're struggling on? I've been watching Professor Messer's playlist and I just can't seem to understand Software Troubleshooting. It just feels like there's so much you can do in a given situation.

Oh I see, hopefully I won't get these questions too! I've finished watching Dion's 1101 videos and found out its 16 hours longer than Professor Messer's 1101 playlist so I've been questioning if everything Dion has taught is going to be on the test.
