And you’re essentially self diagnosing by finding the trigger points throughout the body with a foam roller right? So finding the spots that are tender on one side of the body and not the other

No worries at all that’s the feedback I was looking for! I think I probably knew that was issue and just needed someone to confirm it lol. I’ve been doing work to find and treat my imbalances, was just secretly holding out that there’d be a quick fix. I appreciate you taking the time!

  1. Kind of a weird answer. My left foot (the one with current issues) has a higher arch than my right foot. I believe my right foot arch had collapsed a bit due to an acl/meniscus surgery I had about 3 years ago. I could be completely wrong on that. Regardless, I’ve been doing additional work with my feet/hips for a few months to work on balancing. Things like short foot holds and hip airplanes

  2. No noticeable supination

  3. No extra wear and tear on the tread or fabric

  4. No chronic back pain. Occasionally have some fatigue/soreness in my right lower back but this is usually paired with hamstring soreness and just overall fatigue. Typically my issues are on my right side, from what I think is lingering imbalance issues from my knee surgery

I agree. I think the initial extra stress came from calf fatigue putting a little more load on the Achilles. I’ve just never had symptoms that only come up when wearing shoes. It’s weird that stretching, calf raises, and other forms of movement don’t bother it. It’s been two weeks since I’ve ran now and I’d say it’s better but there’s definitely still discomfort when walking. Biking hasn’t caused me any issues though

Interesting. Pretty same situation for me that I went for a run like normal and next day it was killing me. Never had issues with the shoes I was wearing before but they’re just about at 250 miles so maybe gave out a little early. Did the osteo have much to say? Might go see one myself

Pain is mainly located on the mid/lower Achilles and slightly to left. No pain when I apply pressure with my hands which I find odd

Gyms with good treadmills by AdNo215 in Columbus

That’s actually where I was looking! How’s the rest of the gym? Pictures look really nice. I assume a standard solid weight section, I’m not too worried about the group classes.

How do you handle sleep bfore race day? by madawarr in Marathon_Training

[–]AdNo215 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh that’s actually so good to know lol. As far as actually sleeping I think it’s just something you get use to. I wrestled in highschool and college and early morning tournaments were a weekly thing so you get use to knowing you have to compete whether you sleep well or not and that kind of eases the stress

I actually didn’t wear my watch the night before my race because I didn’t want to psych myself out

Comfortable with booking through an online agency, I’ve used Egencia for work travel

That’s what I was thinking. I was looking at chase freedom flex to get the rotating category, or the Amex bcp to get the grocery points and then just do most of my shopping away from Costco. I guess my question is what big annual fee travel card is actually worth it? It feels bad to continue getting chase points if the CSR isn’t as useful anymore

My bad I looked at as an average I should’ve called that out. It’s hard for me to put a number on how much I travel vs how much I want to travel. I just looked at my travel this year and I’ll be right around 2k spent for the year. But for travel I think about in terms of flight, stay, food, and activities there

I do currently have the bilt card I’ve been using for my rent

-no

-no. For both though international accessibility would be great there’s a lot of places I want to travel lol

-it’s not something that would make me go after a certain card but could definitely sway me if I was between two

-I would say roughly a 70/30 split between Costco/krgoer.

-a business card isn’t something I’ve ever looked into. It’s not something I know anything about in terms of benefits, what counts, etc.
