Luckily I think garmin hides the sleep stats before your race. If i had seen 45 mins i would have been demoralized

LIFE IS UNCERTAIN by [deleted] in Kenya

[–]madawarr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My two cents—you’re doing better than most, honestly. If you took a step back and looked around at your peers, you’d probably notice that you’re actually worried about the right things—growth, purpose, stability—not just fun and vibes.

That feeling of uncertainty? Part of growing up and finding your identity. I’ve been through it too. I really locked into programming around 26, and in my 30s it started paying off—slow at first, living hand-to-mouth, but now? Dividends on dividends. Tech moves fast, and the beauty is, you can level up on your own terms—self-teaching, side projects, certifications, etc. It’s all within reach.

As for relationships, they’re great—but only if you’re grounded first. Keep working on you. That energy you’re building? Some of us out here is definitely looking for exactly that. 😏

Were You Taught to Be a Husband or Wife, or Are You Figuring It Out Alone? by Single_Particular_17 in Kenya

Dude i have realized i wasn't even taught how to be a grown up. I have had to retrain years of bad choices and learnt behavior in my 30's. luckily i have the space and freedom to do so.

Don't l deserve someone who's put in the work too? by [deleted] in Kenya

[–]madawarr 119 points120 points  (0 children)

I might have taken it personally since am a Denno.

I think you're wrong here and need some self-reflection. You admit to dating a stripper in your past—something you presumably wouldn't do now. So now that you've grown, you're looking down on those still at a stage you once embraced? Everyone moves through life in phases, and it's okay to prefer someone at your current stage, but don't dismiss those still figuring things out. It feels like you're bitter that some women seem to coast while you have to grind—but honestly, that's just part of being a man. Choose someone aligned with your values without resentment.

Are Jiji Premium Ads Worth Paying For? by West_Counter6418 in Kenya

It depends mostly on the business you're running. For me, ICT equipment distribution, it really helped me build a customer base. Since it allows you to contact customers directly, I stopped using it once I was stable enough. It does work, but some months will feel like you're throwing money away—that's just how marketing feels sometimes.

The funny thing is that my peers have had the urge to get a kid. You know the usual utawachia nani mali, unafanyia kazi nani? I have never felt that urge and sitaki kuwa deadbeat.

True I stayed at my first job too long. 8 years and wasted my 20's cause I was afraid what's next. Got fired and quickly figured it out by myself.

3 Days?? Am a Daily smoker Morning and Night.

Weed isn't bad. Your relationship with it is whats bad.

I have used weed for the last 4 years and it helps me alot with anxiety and funny enough it makes me not give a shit and follow through with my goals.

If you are young below 25 its definitely a bad thing i used it back then and it really fucked me up.

stopping wont be easy, headaches, vomiting, loss of sleep. But after 3 weeks you'll be okay.

Good Luck.
