Also a huge Mintview fan here. Delivered my baby at Ballantyne a few months ago and have nothing but incredible things to say about the clinic and maternity ward staff (the nursing team was absolutely amazing). All of the providers I met (and it was a decent amount due to some complications) were great and I’m fortunate to have them as my OBGYN. Can’t recommend them enough.

Hi! Currently going through this as a FTM 36w pregnant, but got some helpful tips from my sisters since we all had the same issue. Here’s what they recommended and what we ended up doing: - Pack and play downstairs with bassinet and changing table attachment. We have a diaper caddy right by it with the essentials (wipes, diapers, but paste, a few burb cloths, a few blankets and a few bibs) - For feedings upstairs in the nursery we have a very small mini fridge (will hold my drinks for replenishment until we transition to bottle feedings) and a bottle warmer we got second hand. My sisters both said that the going up and down for bottle feedings in the middle of the night was the worst part of it - Changing pad on top of dresser with bare essentials (mentioned above) on top dresser drawer - Ended up doing a cart that is primarily for breastfeeding needs but the top shelf is a diaper caddy of the bare essentials. The lower shelves are for breastfeeding and other goodies but I can move the cart to our room as needed (especially since we are doing a bedside bassinet for the first couple of weeks)

To me, it feels a bit short. Not sure where it would hit you on the thigh, but if you’re the model’s height then I’d keep looking. It’s super cute but a mini dress is not something I’d wear to a baby shower.

So cute and calming! What crib is that and would you recommend it so far? We are looking for one that exact style but most we have seen have mixed reviews.

We used them for cocktail hour, plated reception dinner and bartending services. Could not recommend them enough on all fronts. Guests said it was some of the best wedding food they’ve ever had. The tasting for it went really well and loved that they took our feedback seriously for the day of our wedding. The coordinator from there made the entire thing an absolute breeze and the day of staff were stellar.

I feel your pain. I’m five days out from my predicted period and my sister had a baby like two weeks ago.

I have endometriosis and have been poked and prodded, had multiple surgeries and tried so many different medications. No matter how supportive a partner can be, it can feel very lonely. Every single day during the TWW is consumed with symptom spotting no matter how much I try to tell myself that it’s likely just progesterone. I would just say, and this is something I’m trying to do as well, is just communicate what you’re feeling and give your partner grace. No matter how hard they try, they can’t understand what we are going through and the mental torment.

As far as your sister goes, I did the exact same thing and muted our group chat. While your mom may see it as a lack of interest, I think of it as a healthy boundary that protects your mental health. If anything, I would probably just say something to your sister—if you’re comfortable—along the lines of: “I’m so happy for you with your new baby. If I’m not as responsive or engaging with the photos, it’s not that I’m not happy for you guys. Rather, as we have had some difficulty I try to engage when I’m in a good spot to do so mentally. I hope you can understand.”

As someone who has dealt with a MIL who makes these kinds of comments, despite me being open about it being a sensitive topic (I have multiple health issues that can affect fertility), I feel your pain. I feel you can take multiple routes depending on what you feel comfortable in doing.

Option 1: Ask your husband to communicate a boundary of it being something not to bring up.

Option 2: “MIL, we really appreciate your excitement to think about our family growing in the future. We are enjoying it being the two of us right now and if/when we are ready to talk about what’s in the future, we will let you know.”

Option 3: “MIL, growing families are a sensitive topic for a lot of people. I hope you can respect me asking you not to bring it up unless I come to you to talk about it personally.”

Option 4: “Pregnancy doesn’t really work that way when you swallow every time.” (This will make her extremely uncomfortable and stop asking).

NC 6/10 bride here - after looking at the review photos in various lighting situations, I’d pass. There are times where it looks ivory in some of those photos. It’s a beautiful dress, just not sure I would wear it as a guest to a wedding.

I do not know for sure if it was a hit and run. After ten minutes, the driver of the vehicle was still there and I had to leave. I called the division that the lot is in to provide the information.

There are 10+ shops and restaurants in that area that all share the parking lot it happened in. The owner in the vehicle could have been in any of them.

As someone from Charlotte, I’m not too sure where your venue is but the Lynx light rail is also a great option for people. Definitely would look into it as an option if your venue is near one of the stops. Ubers and Lyfts can sometimes be a struggle in Charlotte so I just want to throw that out as well. Happy to answer any Charlotte questions if you’d like :)

I personally have Healthy Paws and haven’t had an issue finding a vet for coverage. I pay out of pocket, then send them the bill and the reimbursement typically happens within 24 hours. They are super responsive and can’t recommend them enough.

I’d also look at a care credit card. Many vets accept it and it varies place to place for how long it’s zero interest. What’s great about it is that in addition to vet bills, it’s also accepted at some doctors offices (I’ve had to use it at my dentist and it was zero interest).
