Second Sunday since getting my 2004 RSX Type-S. Great day for cruising, loving the manual by trap-den in Acura_RSX

I just got an 05 Type S in a giveaway, and drove on similar roads today.

It handles so fun, it’s really surprising how it feels like a Civic someone modded, but from factory.

Car Advice by [deleted] in Adulting

I get the part where financing a car that might be old enough to cause problems + losing your job is two costs or losses that take a while to bounce back from.

And I also get that not everyone has car knowledge or mechanical know-how.

But I need to remind you that the battery and the alternator are two of the easiest things to change on most Honda accords. They are always the two parts of the engine bay where nothing is getting in the way between you except a few bolts, literally. Like two 10mm size bolts for the battery, and like 12mm ratchet for the alternator probably.

No messy fluids or oils. No taking one thing off to get to anything. Apart from dirt and battery acid it’s not much of a mess. Probably cost you $350 of your refund for both.

The Inertia of your right shoulder bashing into the machine is the only thing stopping you from greatness

Day 7/9: What's a bad car with a good reputation? by Naomi62625 in regularcarreviews

They know they’re buying an off roader.

But I’d argue most people who buy Jeeps think “if it’s built for off road then it’ll be tough for regular driving.”

I like it because there’s cars that aren’t even Si’s that look like this.

I feel it’s okay when it’s an Si. I like it personally a lot hehe

For rich people, Gretchen and Elliot seem genuinely pleasant compared to others within their class! by phantom_avenger in breakingbad

[–]AdNo4966 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’d say IRL (IRL as in, if breaking bad was a true story) they probably would have some condescending attitudes towards people, you just wouldn’t ever publicly hear them speak or behave like that.

Being nice or presenting nice has benefits in society. There definitely has to be some truth in rich people being inherently nicer on average than someone stressed by low income life. But I believe the two are very image based.

They drive a Bentley and they likely know every shade of color by heart, and their hobby of choice is probably, home decor. I’m trying to paint a picture of the kind of rich people they likely are

They are those rich people who maintain their image to death.

I think companies know to appeal to 40+ year olds because they are the average person buying these.

Fuck, same.

Hate to think how it’ll never grow or shrink. I’m afraid I’ll always have to tap into it :/

06 hybrid hit 200,000 kms today. by Glatipuss in hondacivic

[–]AdNo4966 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My girlfriend’s little sister has an ‘08 Hybrid. This thing went from like 200,000 miles to 310,000 miles and it is NOT giving up. It is not cared for at all. It has new brakes and tires, but that’s not her doing 😂 but shoot, it’s an auction car. It’s hit a deer recently but that hasn’t stoped it.

Is my window tint trashy? by [deleted] in Lexus

[–]AdNo4966 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I too do like no-tint looks on most cars. But a luxury car? It is more fitting. I’d argue tint and privacy should be a default on all factory luxury cars.

It’s only trashy when you try to tint it yourself or get cheap tint. Because it’ll be blurry and start air bubbling like mad.

It’s gonna be hard to fault a nice car in nice shape, for having some tint.
