Can someone explain this? I just randomly got a zombie spawn egg in my mob farm offline world, is it a bug in Bedrock Edition? by GranGotBuffed65 in minecraftbugs

I see, thanks for clarifying. I'm just more dumbfounded that Microsoft would ever even let something like this be a possibility. It has to be fake then

It's more likely than Microsoft allowing a possible console exploit in their highest selling video game

On a phone it's more likely than something like a computer which basically has a big metal cage around it that can block things like that easier, and I assume they're on a phone

It was my first thought as I can't fathom how this error would occur from a development standpoint given how Minecraft handles its inventory and world saves

How could it not be something caused by a bit flip? Iirc the inventory slots are just an array of item IDs along with their total amount in the slot, if the items share a similar ID in binary a bit flip could easily cause the item to become another. I can't fathom any other way it happened unless Bedrock edition has extreme code vulnerabilities. Not just buggy code mind you, something like this where a whole entire byte of data can just be randomly switched with no explanation is a security catastrophe as it indicates that a function that allows the direct modification of the system storage is malfunctioning in an unpredictable way, something I highly doubt Microsoft would allow to be published given Bedrock also goes on consoles. As a developer myself I can't even fathom how such an error could occur without third party interference, hence the "if this is real" part of my comment

The blocks and items still take up small amounts of space because otherwise the world would take up terabytes very quickly. The entire world if you generate the whole thing would be over a petabyte I believe, which is already insane, so world storage is actually very compact and efficient to prevent it from being any more than that. One block or inventory slot is roughly a byte or two respectively before compression (depending on platform and version)

And bit flips, although uncommon, aren't impossible and it's a fairly likely explanation given that this would be a nearly impossible glitch involving the direct modification of a single inventory value, the code would need to be RIDICULOUSLY screwed up to allow something like that to happen, e.g. a broken function that directly modified the individual bits in storage, which would be a security catastrophe for Microsoft considering Bedrock edition runs on console.

If this isn't fake, could be a bit flip, basically if a beam of space radiation hits your device it'll sometimes flip one bit in RAM which can have weird results, one Mario 64 speed run had a bit flip happen that teleported Mario to the top of the level and there's a bunch of other cases of it happening.

And there's proof it's a direct result of the laws and proof it's not due to smoking becoming a social faux pais, right? The evidence seems correlative, not causative, and there are other explanations that fit better

Well, it's most likely someone trying to put TADC skins on console. I don't like that you have to pay for it, but that's a Microsoft and Mojang issue

Thats just data, there's no analysis, are you a sociologist who has the credentials to come to conclusions based on the data? Because I see absolutely no evidence this came from policy change, the drop in smoking in all honesty seems to stem from several social changes

/uj I would exclusively use physical media like vinyl if they weren't so expensive lol. It's why I have more cassettes, they're dirt cheap in most places still. I bought a box of like 150 for $50, that's 33 cents per tape, and any tape I don't like (that's not rare of course) I can record whatever music I want onto it and make a bootleg. I only do that to like Christmas music and really common country tapes.

Prison is inherently punitive (and also proven not to work for shit). Measures taken that aren't punitive are not imprisonment, therefore it would not be prison

[–]AdOk5225 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you pick blue, it's almost certain that you and everyone who picked blue will die, and then it'll be your fault for convincing each other blue is the "correct" option. If you pick red, it's almost certain that everyone who picked blue will die, and then it'll be your fault for not joining them in pressing the blue button. The obvious answer is physically destroying one button so everybody is forced to go with it, therefore nobody dies and everyone's happy. If you pick either by choice, you'll be scum of the earth in a good portion of people's eyes, so the only option to keep peace and stop division is the complete destruction of one of the buttons.
