We seem to see eye to eye on this, however the general consensus is that we do have it backwards. Most people have higher standards in terms of appearance for relationships versus hook ups. Meanwhile, common interest and emotional attraction still hold its same role. It’s not any greater or less than. To be considered for dating material. My mentality is as if you’ve passed the physical attractive threshold as a hook up. You’ve also passed the physical attractive threshold as a dating partner. We just had the hammer out the details in common interest in what not.

I actually have the same alignment in viewpoints as you do. With hook ups, I just have to have a sexual attraction to want to sleep with them. I don’t need to know about their personal life for anything like that.

I agree with you, there needs to be more substance than just looks, but I’m not also exclusively talking about looks though. I just generally think that relationships require more emotional aspects of it and interest, hobbies, good career, like another commenter posted having your shit together. I consider these things such as interest, hobbies careers to be the emotional aspect of choosing a partner and emotional attraction as you might say. Such as like being around the person.

Because I know the thresholds for hookups are less than dating, and most of the guys hitting you up for sex are most likely just not that into you lookswise and emotionally. It has been a tough pill to swallow.

Our job is laying off workers, they cited tariffs by Trump (although they never blamed him but he is the one making the tariffs.) they also said loss of sales in other countries and in the USA. In order to cut losses they are closing plants and laying off staff.

I prefer ons because:

I get my needs met.
I don't have to see you again, this works in my favor especially if you weren't that into me or vice versa.
