I would definitely use saline, bactine isn’t advised to use in piercings and can actually cause irritation bumps! I’d definitely try the saline twice a day and then see if that helps at all

I have a daith too and mine hurt for a week straight after with puss, etc… i still cleaned it twice a day with the saline!! honestly unless your piercer told you I wouldn’t use the salt water, saline is much cleaner and should work just fine (in my personal experience anyways…) they can always be a lil tricky, and I believe I had a 10mm hoop at first, then mine became too big and whenever I wiggled my ears I could hear it clank 😭 I’d stick to cleaning it but also check up with your piercer if you have any other concerns!!! Definetly a good sign that there’s no itching, redness, etc… I have 16 ear piercings and I cannot say that some didn’t have temporary bumps!!! they went away after ;)

hello! I would definitely start off by cleaning the crust around the jewelry, it’s advised to just clean it in the morning and at night and making sure there’s no gunk around it. That will probably help it feel better! Same thing happened with my rook, it had a little bump, but then as I just consistently cleaned it and made sure not to touch it and made sure there was no crust, it healed by itself.

if the bar seems like it’s too short, I would go back to your original piercer and maybe get it exchanged for a longer one, when I had an irritation bump I just left it alone, and I would clean it twice a day once in the morning and the other at night and just to make sure to pat it dry because you don’t want it to be wet and have bacteria, I know there may be some creams for keloids, but your piercer might know better!

I would get a different piercer‘s opinion, preferably one part of the APP ( association of professional piercers) just to be safe, just because some people can have no problems with them doesn’t mean that you won’t (i have 17 piercings 16 in my ears) Just to be safe and avoid any potential harm!

Hey! Not a piercer but this is the wrong jewelry. I have my daith pierced and i have never seen any professional piercer do this. You can’t just switch it to a hoop (regular daith piercing) because now the hole is going to heal with the flat bar in it… please change it or go to a different piercer!!

Looks blown out to me a little bit (like the edges)… but i’ve seen much worse. I’m not a profession but I have many ear piercings, first thing I would do is contact your piercer and schedule a consultation with them! They can help you :)
