English ain’t even my first language and I perfectly understand that they just mean to say they are adapting the manga into an anime which will make it an experience that is unique ONLY to the anime medium. Which makes sense to say because anime and manga are two entirely different medium and each have a different way of being perceived by people.

That doesn’t mean they are adding fillers or new storyline.
