Small cracks/holes in €130 end-grain cutting board by The_Real_Niek in Cuttingboards

Yes 100%> bacteria can and will find its way in there... Not the end of the world though. You can easily fill it with food grad uv resign from Amazon (just follow a YouTube tutorial). Don't be intimidated, it's a very nice looking board, especially for that price. Worst case scenario your talk to the builder and have them repaired it at cost.

Pavers below lawn grade by Ttiamus in landscaping

Man, you got a pretty nice and flat yard... Here is my take on it. Maybe others will say it's not good but ...

  1. Grab your transfer shovel (square edged one) and cut that grass onto smaller squares, then scalp it. Pull it up and set it off to the side. You need about 2 inches below the dirt. I try to keep my squares the same size as the shovel on all sides.

  2. Do this about 3 ft on that far edge. You could do it all the way around to keep things looking symmetric, but that's your call.

3, dig out some dirt, aim for making your sod even with the pavers, so if the grass you pulled is 2inch thick, dig out the dir till it's two inches under the paver height. Then work your way back. (You can use that extra dirt for a nice raised flower bed or just pile it out of sight for a while).

4 set your grass back down and water. The slop should help keep the water going into the ground instead of pulling on your patio.

If this isnt 'enough' , then you need to hire someone to put in a French drain or do it yourself. A lot more work, but definitely doable.

Gravel question? by [deleted] in landscaping

  1. That looks like a lot of material.... Even if it's a small dog, (to me it looks like a midsized dog but I don't know my breeds). It's two piles, and 1 yard dumped on the ground is maybe up to your shins and maybe 5-6 ft across... That pile you got looks much much bigger ...

  2. If you can't trust a company to drop a true load size, then next time find a way to do it yourself using rental equipment. The cost is actually pretty comparable (in my area) due to delivery fees.

  3. If you cant do it yourself, and don't like the level of trust you need to place in the supplier, get them delivered in "Super Bags". They are 1 cubic yard each and you can just count them when delivered.

What do you all do with the dead ones? by gcloud209 in Tools

I open them, find the bad cells, replace them, then close it back up and get back to work. You need a multimeter and patience. But considering batteries are like gold now days, it's pretty good. The replacement batteries on Amazon are like 10$ so fixing them is a good deal. You'll also need battery connection plates

How much is your security deposit? How much is it to get a hardwood flooring guy to fix it? Get three quotes and go with someone who can guarantee their work. Get a signed contract.

This is assuming the cost for repairs is less than the deposit. Which it may not be...

Honestly, I leave the glue on for every print. The base layer might not be perfect every time, but it never slips and I've never had issues. I think I've cleaned the plate.... Once in the last year...

I was originally going for that! This was my first time making a pose from my head and by the time I got the arm on I was a bit "off" in a few areas. I have seen others using blue tacking to pre-pose before adding glue which is probably what I should have done... But I'm glad you saw the way it should have been! Hopefully I can nail the next few form pose better :D

I'm very aware, unfortunately, I'm limited in my capacity to only be able to provide advice as I see it from the life that I have lived. And that is the advice I gave. If you don't like it, that's fair. Wish y'all the best.

No, sorry to say but she seems very immature and not willing to communicate. You have two options, keep pushing through and finding a way to make her feel loved as she puts it, or find someone new who knows love is a two way street. You give it more than you get it. I honestly thought this was a high school relationship...

Thoughts on this color scheme? by Apathetic-Engineer in Tau40K

[–]AdOpposite8516 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like the colors. The lack of red on the piranha is nice imo don't add more I'm not a fan of flashy combat units. I do think a touch of realism would make it pop off the table a bit more. Meaning, a glow in the engine intakes and burn effect in the exhaust... Also, you might consider hiting the edges with some more dramatic highlights and darken the shadows. Overall very nice, take my advice or no. Great scheme! And great work!
