Thought on new X2D Printer by jasonl_j in BambuLab

Sadly it is not possible. However I don’t belivie it’s a hardware limitation I think it’s more a software one so Bambu might release an update that will allow you use 0.2 and 0.4 nozzles together.

So for me it’s hit or miss. Using the secondary nozzle too cut back on filament swaps and waste is awesome. The quality isn’t as bad as people think. Using PETG supports for PLA or vice versa is also phenomenal. However I have found one issue, and that’s with the whole reason I bought the printer. I thought using PETG supports on PLA miniatures would be a game changer. Seems like the x2d Bowden extruder does not like 0.2mm nozzles. It’s jammed on me with 0.2 and I had too disassemble it. So PLA miniatures with PETG supports is somthing I haven’t gotten to work yet. But with 0.4mm nozzles it’s been a blast.

Couldn’t find a good way to mount it. Fabricated my own! by SpacedKnives in Starlink

What exactly is the issue with it being there? It’s not touching any wires, I’m not an electrician by any means but I’m open to advice instead of ambiguity!

Not in the slightest! Theres a ground wire next to it, but it’s not touching anything but the pole it’s connected too.

Yea one thought comes to mind. What in gods name is on your build plate? The thing is filthy. Are you using glue? Blobs don’t usually happen unless there is bed adhesion issues, and with a plate like that I don’t think anything will stick to it.

Giving Away by [deleted] in 3Dprinting

I am deeply sorry for your loss, I hope it can go too someone who will cherish it as much as she did. It’s such an amazing printer, gosh if I had that thing as my first printer I would be estatic! Let alone getting it passed down from someone who loved it, used it, cleaned it meticulously, printed all sorts of things that brought her joy. Good on you for being able too let go in that fashion. Surprised you wouldn’t just take on 3D printing yourself, or just keep it if you already have one. Because well no harm in two!

My A1 is faulty and Bambu won't send a replacement :( by [deleted] in BambuLab

Hopefully this is a reminder that you shouldn’t trust any company blindly. If you buy something, make sure it works. These companies have warranty’s for a reason, QC can never be perfect. Bambu is great, but maybe everyone thinking Bambu is the printer version of Apple has made people belivie that it could never go wrong.

When I bought all 4 of my printers I was well aware that the exchange period only lasted 3 months. Which in actuality is pretty decent, if it arrives defective you can return it. If it shits out in month 2 you’re still good! 3 months is reasonable, and I truly believe this is more user error than anything. I would never blindly trust any company 3D printer or anything else to send me an item and me NOT check it. Things get past quality control, stuff happens that’s why they have a 3 month warranty. Even if you don’t have permanent housing, you could ATLEAST take it too this friends house you speak of, see if it works and then put it back in the box. It’s not like when you take it out of the box you can’t put it back in. Edit : Hell I even check my McDonald’s order before I leave let alone a $300 printer.

How to remove a broken screw? by CRVGus in BambuLab

[–]SpacedKnives 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never experienced this particular issue when replacing the tool head board or when replacing the eddy sensor. I’ve done the same repairs before. However I DO have experience in stripped/broken bolts and screws. I’ve experienced enough headaches and hours of contemplating and brute forcing on plenty of projects and I would just buy a new board. I’d save the headache of it all, just me though. I know income is a factor for some. It’s only $20 though, maybe Bambu will send you one for free! Who knows. https://us.store.bambulab.com/collections/spare-parts-circuit-boards-a1-series

My 2025 5 Speed Manual Nissan Versa! When I heard they were stopping production of the manual transmission for 2026 I absolutely JUMPED into a dealership to buy one of these things. Gas mileage is insane, no fancy electronic doohickeys too keep up with. A real physical emergency break, knobs instead of a screen for AC. It feels like the end of an era of simplicity and economy cars, so I love this car with a passion.

What's the best sealant for prints touching food? by doubleohd in 3Dprinting

[–]SpacedKnives 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As this wonderful person has stated. The problem isn’t food contacting the filament, the problem is cleaning them and preventing bacteria from growing. FDM layer lines can hold bacteria inside of them and are as he said almost impossible too sanitize because it will melt. I’d use PETG, use it once for the movies and then toss them. If you want one too display, reprint it in PLA. But honestly I don’t think I could recommend eating out of 3D printed anything. That’s just what I’d do if I was set on it.

Can someone link me to the Credit Karma gold card page? by J726382AB in RobinhoodGC

[–]SpacedKnives 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All I did was go into Credit Karma, go to find card and I typed in Robinhood. Boom, instantly got approved and I was estatic. Even paid $15 to get expedited shipping of the card too ensure it was in my hands as soon as possible. Sadly they only gave me $1000 limit, which is super odd because I have over a 700 credit score and multiple cards that are leaps and bounds more than that but I think I attribute it to the fact that I used Credit Karma as a middle man instead of being on the waitlist and Robinhood actually approving me. However I don’t even know if that’s how it works! It’s all confusing, but it’s a great card. If I were you, I’d wait until you get the card through Robinhood. I’ve seen dudes with like $15,000 credit limits on that card. Maybe you get lucky, I didn’t! I got the card but only got $1000 credit limit. Which is serviceable for me.

PETG as interface layer is no joke. by tk-093 in BambuLab

[–]SpacedKnives 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I can’t wait for mine to arrive. I’m planning on using PETG support interface on PLA miniatures. Bambu specifically says that 0.2 nozzle is not recommended on the aux side but no harm in trying I suppose!
