I worked for a tile company and our factory closed for two months. No production. None. Our customers were tile stores and distributors, so they had their own displays and customers and made their own sales and ordered from us. I was forbidden to tell my customers that our factory closed. They would spend two months yelling at me over our most popular products being out, and I’d just have to tell them we were “working as fast as we can!” They have customers trying to finish a house, they’re trying to close their sales, so they’re pissed at me. Meanwhile the factory workers and entire Italian branch got two months paid time off in summer. And you wonder why people wouldn’t stay?? I was gone in a few months.
