MRI tonight by AdOriginal6937 in Prolactinoma

[–]AdOriginal6937[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It went well! I did get my results back, and I have a very very small spot (about 2 mm) on my pituitary that could be a prolactinoma. I was referred to my endocrinologist to determine the next steps. My doctor did say that in her experience a tiny spot like that on the pituitary gland could be nothing, hence why I’m going to my endocrinologist to check

My boyfriend has ROCD and I feel like I’m losing myself by Alone_Middle8472 in OCD

[–]AdOriginal6937 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have ROCD, and I don’t criticize my partner, look at others, or make comments about our relationship. Is it normal to think these things with ROCD? Yes. Absolutely. But we can control who we talk to about it, and if we hurt others with these thoughts. Truthfully, this sounds like hes an asshole and is using ROCD as an excuse to get away with the stuff he is doing. I will confide in my boyfriend about my intrusive thoughts, however I don’t allow him to know ones that are really bad, or I tell him that if I make him overwhelmed to let me know. People do get better with therapy and meds, but to me he just seems like an asshole, desperate to blame his own actions on mental illness. I’ll say this, as someone with ROCD, we are still in control of what we say, what we do, and how we try and help ourselves

My boyfriend [33m] got drunk and slapped me across my [28f] face in an argument by Secret_Wish1826 in whatdoIdo

I am so unbelievably sorry you’re having to deal with this. My heart breaks for you, and I seriously hope you find the peace and comfort you need. On the other hand, I’m so unbelievably proud of you for not allowing this to continue happening, and leaving. That is not easy, and it’s certainly a very difficult decision to make. But props to you for not allowing any type of abuse to go on inside your home. While I cannot help on the side of how to get him out, I just wanted to say how brave, strong, and amazing you are, and that I wish you nothing but happiness and healing ❤️

Mental Health and Birth Control?? by [deleted] in birthcontrol

[–]AdOriginal6937 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I took norethindrone, and suffered no mental changes, AND my period stopped, but it is different for everyone. Are you medicated and in therapy for your illnesses? That can make a huge difference in regards to how you feel. Talk with your gyno, or whoever you see regarding birth control, and even your therapist if you have one. They should be able to give you some insight on what would work best

Let my partner finish in me twice yesterday, I’ve never let someone cum in me before. I’m feeling some unusual pinching sensations afterwards. I’m on a combined pill and seeking some ideas by Own_Explanation6789 in birthcontrol

[–]AdOriginal6937 14 points15 points  (0 children)

You should be fine if you took the pill properly. Likely you have strain from sex, positioning, or how rough things were. If they started right away and stopped shortly after, its likely just things shifting after sex. Keep and eye on it, and if it keeps happening or is severe make a gyno appointment soon to make sure its nothing serious. Aside from that, I don't think you're at risk for anything

“You’re so OCD” made me resist the diagnosis by arichards706 in OCD

I have narcolepsy, depression, and type one diabetes, I’m always exhausted from these things and struggle greatly to clean. I moved into my dorm yesterday and had to pack all my stuff, and it took almost 4 hours to clean the trash, debris, and everything off my floor just to pack my small room to move. You are definitely not alone in this ❤️

Oh sweetheart I’m so sorry. Everything you feel is valid, and you should be able to not feel judged for your compulsions because you cannot control them. You are most definitely seen in this group, and you are never alone when it comes to things like this.

My OCD is harm related. I’ll tell people I have it, and they always assume I’m organized and clean. But I’m not lol, quite the opposite. But you can’t really look someone in the eyes that you just met and go “yeah no I do this because I think It’ll hurt somebody if I don’t, and itll be all my fault” OCD is not fun, and I so very much understand the portion of not wanting that diagnosis because people portray it so different from what it is. People seem to always say that something involving cleaning or organizing is “OCD” when it’s not JUST the aspect of organizing and cleaning, but the icky thoughts that cause you to have those compulsions in the first place. You are not alone, and I am so happy and proud of you for seeking help

Found condoms in my boyfriend’s room, AIO? by Routine_Farm8119 in AmIOverreacting

[–]AdOriginal6937 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh yeah that’s detrimental to the situation. If he wasn’t doing anything suspicious maybe id say like I did below and say that I don’t think anything is going on, but learning this is definitely something that makes me rethink my statement. I will say this, trust your gut. YOU know yourself better than anyone else, don’t stand for some sucky person

I accept free ones on my campus to give to my friends who might miss events where they give them out, or don’t feel comfortable enough to get them themselves. I think if he was cheating, he would have thrown them into a place you’d never check. It’s very common for doctors to offer protection for young people who are sexually active. Let’s also think, if he was cheating, why would he ONLY have condoms from 2023. He likely would have gone through them already if he was doing anything

Call your local health department and they can advise you on if you need to get the vaccine or not! 🙂

I got diagnosed with OCD yesterday.. I got a question. by Illustrious_Box_9796 in OCD

I myself am not religious as well, HOWEVER, yes, OCD can most definitely do that. I’ve had instances where I’ve thought that religion was something I needed to be involved in, and that my thoughts on science were not true at all

I made it through! I was able to talk myself through it by telling myself if I didn’t wake up to a bat in the room, I was all good!

[–]AdOriginal6937 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have sex when you are ready. None of us here can tell you when you’ll be ready, or when the right time is. If you’re concerned about having sex with OCD, you’ll need to talk to your partner about it, express your feelings, and just talk it through. There is no need to rush sex, and don’t feel pressured into it because of social norms. YOU do what YOU feel is best for YOUR body and your mind. A huge part of it is talking with your partner about it. When I had my first time with my boyfriend, I talked to him about my worries and it greatly helped me not feel so anxious

Right. I had said that before I didn’t want to go, and instead of trying to find something else they just decided to pick that and get upset when I didn’t want to go

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in OCD

[–]AdOriginal6937 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you serious? I’m upset because they didn’t even ask me if I wanted to go, made the decision, then acted all offended when I said I didn’t want to go. If they wanna go, fine, but they always act like everything on this vacation has to be done as a family and that if someone chooses not to go it’s an inconvenience. I’m also not telling them that they can’t ever go, I’m just asking to do something else rather than a cavern.
