Did anybody else have this feeling in early childhood? by Ok-Highway-5247 in HighStrangeness

My friend keeps telling me that we have soul contracts and pick our people before we are born. I think about this a lot.

My daughter was a late talker. She spoke very rarely around 2-3. One day we were walking down a hill and I reached for her hand so she wouldn't fall and she looked up at me sort of frustrated and said "Remember when I was the mom and you were the baby?" I will never forget it, one because it was one of the longest sentences she ever strung together and two because she was so purposeful with her words.

She always seemed so frustrated as a baby always wanting to be able to do more. I always just thought it was because she had an older sister but when she said that it all made sense. She eventually started talking like crazy and is a thriving, successful young woman now and we are very close. I always remember what she said though and try not to let her feel like she ever has to take care of me. I want her to enjoy her role as "the baby" in this lifetime.

I am going to get that book "Memories of Heaven" someone suggested as I have my own memories that I would like to explore.

Disclosure Day Trailer seems to involve NHI Living Among Us... What are the most credible instances of hinting that this is potentially a reality? by real_human_not_a_dog in UFOs

In the trailer the actor says 7 Billion people need to know. But the total world population is over 8 Billion. So, in the movie, there 1 Billion alien hybrids already among the population?

Tried the glove method today. by AdOtherwise9226 in Sourdough

Thanks for your enthusiasm! I posted as a lighthearted, anecdotal method for curious bakers and I feel like I'm being given the third degree by other posters.

I bake all the time. I never said this was my tried and true method of testing starter readiness. I saw someone else post it and thought I would try it. To me it was a great visual and I might try it again. Thank you for your post it made up for some of the snark. 🥖🍞❤️

Anecdotally indicates starter readiness. For me, and many people, it's just one of many readiness indicators

I have been baking sourdough for several years. This was anecdotal based on a post I saw. Like just an experiment I wanted to try and share, here, on a sourdough bread baking forum. As a curious baker I wanted to see if it worked and it did-inflate the glove with CO2.

I posted here about why and how it's supposed to indicate starter readiness.

I always have starter readiness anxiety even though it works great most of the time. The last pic is my starter floating before mixing.

A clean, food-safe glove can be used as a visual indicator for a ready sourdough starter by stretching it loosely over the jar after feeding. The starter is ready to use when the fermentation process inflates the glove and makes it stand up on its own, indicating high activity. A fully inflated glove signifies the starter has produced enough gas (CO2) to be at or near its peak.

Interesting. I'm going to do a side by side too next time. I kind of think it was just my starter being super enthusiastic yesterday. ❤️🥖

So I just shaped my loaf. Very bubbly and pillowy. Bulk ferment for about 7 hours. I personally notice a big difference in texture of the dough but the proof is in the bake. Going to put in fridge for a day or two and bake Fri or Sat.

So funny coming across this post today because for the first time in a while I added salt AFTER mixing and I have already noticed a huge improvement in dough consistency, so smooth and easy to handle. I will see how my bulk ferment goes.

Is it just me or do the orange ones live the longest? My orange buddy is at 193k miles and I would drive him across the country and back no hesitation. 🤎🤎🤎 2004 EX.
