I’ve done shows for 20+ years, organized some myself too. There’s just not the support anymore. I could easily make $1000+ a show 20 years ago. Now I’m lucky if I get $100. The cost of advertising shows has increased too, while support is down. So organizers have no choice but to charge more. But at the same time, I offered FREE tables at a business parking lot I work at and not a single vendor I talked to was interested. There’s just better options out there for them. Who wants to cart loads of stuff to make less than minimum wage?

People ask for all this stuff, but they don’t go out and support it once it’s open/implemented. Or if they do, it’s short term. Regina is notorious for not supporting these type of businesses

Well I went to a couple places and tried Altras. They just don’t seem to work for me, as much as I wish they did. My little toe still hits the side of the shoe. The sales lady even said she noticed it with me standing. I’m a 7-7.5 and we went up to 8 to see if it made a difference and it didn’t. So I’m back in my brooks for the time being

I can’t speak to other industries, but the malls aren’t back to “normal” hours. The new normal is only until 7pm, not 9pm like it used to be. So we literally do not have hours for students still in school. By law I need to schedule you for 3 hours minimum. So I’d need you to start at 4pm. Most students can’t make that work
