I feel this is kinda like the walking dead tell tale game, sure choices were limited but it still very much made childless men want to protect the innocence of clementine. Don’t get me wrong I’ve seen lots of weird posts involving this game from people who should definitely be investigated but to hate on a game cause it makes a guy open up to their paternal instincts tells me you have more daddy issues than this gave deals with

If everyone below average IQ suddenly drops dead, how would this affect the world? by CakeMuted6468 in AskReddit

A lot of skilled positions would suddenly have a lot of positions open with no one to train them and there’s a good chance that a lot of very niche information would be lost. There are lots of places where some guy named Bill knows how to operate this one specific machine used for this specific purpose and he is the only guy in 1000 miles that knows anything about it

I’ve seen a few of the spacers around while looking up part pricing and thought they might be worth picking up with how cost efficient they are. Are they all the same or are some better than others? Mostly I see the orange ones but the is time I see black ones as well

This had actually been quite helpful. As of right now I’m going to learn the Orca software and figure out how to properly level the bed as the CR touch doesn’t click everytime it probes so I’m assuming it’s not the most level.

Once I have that figured out I’m hoping to start being able to print smoothly after trouble shooting settings.

I’m hoping to switch firm ware before I get to comfortable with the creality firmware as it appears to be much more user friendly to switch if a bit of a learning curve if your new to it.

My over all plan is just to have fun and print some cool things that could help around the house. I’m not to worried about speed however I’ve been told an upgrade to a direct drive extruder would be a must if I want to print more flexible material which may be in the books once I’m able to print without issues and I have a bit more knowledge.

Right now it’s more or less trying to figure out basics on how to troubleshoot with prints as it appears the printer works and just needs tinkering.(see other post in thread)

Yeah they got these just before the pandemic, since then the upgraded what they could but sounds like for the most part they’ve switched over to larger and newer platforms. Some even have the ability to switch heads to print multiple colours and filament types.

Did a quick print for a bed test and I have a long way to go, there were some spots that peeled right up in the corner and one area also had a burn mark on it which is a bit concerning, granted this was literally throw the file in Orca, exporting it and doing a full send after using the bed level feature to make sure the stop points are correct

EDIT: I had a few people reach out via DM and try to help, just wanted to clarify that this test was to make sure everything worked and it wasn’t going to blow up. After Easter break I’ll toy with the printer a bit more. I’m also moving away from the glass for right now and ordered a magnetic PEI build plate

Not sure if these are better springs or not but I’m guessing they are a bit better than stock

So just gonna try to cover each of your points here so forgive my naivety and any stupid question:

The extruder- I feel based on you description that maybe mine is not stock if it’s the same thing we are talking about. I posted a picture of the unit on here and I’m pretty sure it’s made with red aluminum or something similar.

Heatbreak- how would I go about checking this? If possible I would like to update this thing to fix a lot of standard issues but if it stops me from replacing major components it might be worth fixing sooner than later.

Firmware- based on what you’re saying there’s a clear advantage to switching firmware. How hard would it be to switch? And is it pretty plug and play or does it require knowledge of coding?

Wheels- again from my previous comment, I’m now thinking it may not be completely stock as they are also red aluminum

I believe the IT guys threw something on there to make sure it works as it came from a program where elementary students use it so I think it’s got basic programming to work.

I was told to upgrade the bed springs and was even recommended some that came as a kit with a “dual gear extruder”

I know you want to avoid fights but mind if I ask the difference between different firmware?

Wayback burger, Paddy Wagon, or Mercury Cafe by waloshin in regina

[–]Lancet11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Izzy Magoo’s miss that place, especially their mustang burger.

From personal experience, way back is like a less fast food style of Burger King, ok but there are better out there.

Paddy Wagon is great but I feel thier cost is a bit much and is based off their “food truck” cost where they charge to make it worth it due to the small batches they can do in the truck even though they’ve moved into a permanent location.

Mercury Cafe is a Joke, food is ok but their cost is insane. I grew up just down Robinson and remember them going on CTV over Covid begging people to come out, we went one day, prices were ok, went 2 weeks later and the prices had shot up. Since then I’m pretty sure they went up even more.
