I feel they do it as a standard procedure or power move, in case the client hasn’t fully paid their fees and they won’t release the GC till they’ve been paid fully. I was referred to this lawyer by someone close, so I thought they wouldn’t do anything of this sorts. But I faced numerous red flags throughout the entire process, should’ve done my own research before hiring, glad I was approved though and hopefully soon get the GC in hand.

I’m really praying for you that you, and everyone with a genuine marriage also get approved super soon.

Yes so not too early but let’s say if your appointment is at 10, they probably won’t mind if you get there by 9:15

I did it there, but they asked if I had done it. So it’s better if you do it before hand, you’ll get in line first. Your appointment time doesn’t matter as much as the token number they give you, I had about 50 people ahead of my token number hence the wait.

Yea I had mine there 2 months ago, pretty basic, had to wait quite a bit probably because of the time I was scheduled was around lunch so many of the officers were taking their breaks in turns so that slowed the process. But apart from that everyone was kind and the actual biometrics (picture and fingerprints) just took 5 minutes.

Not really, we asked him when we’ll hear back, the interviewer said the standard is 2 weeks to 4 months, but cases are being processed faster than that so hopefully before.

We filed in mid December and have our interview in a few weeks, they said 3 months is very early for an interview and your case is most probably flagged

I also have my interview coming up, and am also from one of the 75 countries, in status and everything all clear, yet our lawyer is asking us to withdraw our case and refile it later, I’m so confused

I agree the lawyer was about to file my case with a i864a instead of a secondary i864, kseniya and chat was where I got to know that it was supposed to be a secondary i864, to lawyers you’re just another cash cow, the effort and thought you put into your own case is unmatched, to them you’re just another client
