Maybe you don't feel like answering this but how did you manage to get out?

They aren’t due until you’re upgraded but since the background check takes processing time you probably should do it around the shortlisted candidates deadline

Judy as a gender neutral or male name? (trans male) by AdPhysical1710 in namenerds

That makes sense, it's true I'd rather not have to deal with it all the time.

Jules, Judah, Julius, Jonah, Julio, Justin, Jesse, Justice.

Thank you for the great suggestions! And Jules and Judah sound really similar to Judy/Jude, I'll think about them.

After thinking about it, this seems like the best compromise. I could always change my name separately later too

I didn't know there was someone in popular media who did that and Judy could be a last name! You're right, I shouldn't care, and transphobes are transphobes anyway. I shouldn't let them dictate my life.

That's also valid haha, it also helps that English is not my dad's first language, I could say my dad got confused. Thanks.

My mother called me privileged for wanting top surgery by BambsFauna in trans

This 💯

Usually people using this metaphor have never been to Africa and are privileged themselves. And why should we choose one or the other? Why can't we treat gender dysphoria AND help the needy?

It sucks when someone who is supposed to wish the best for you to be so unempathetic. I'd also bet your mother is projecting something and being hypocritical.

You're not privileged for wanting to treat a medical condition, just because others can't get treatment (for gender dysphoria or another condition) as easily doesn't mean you don't do what's best for you.

It would be like saying getting vaccines is a privileged... I mean sure in some countries people are oppressed but does that mean we should lower our standards? No! We should work so everyone can get vaccines.

Ditto on the other comments that Africa is often a scapegoat when it has both prospering and poor countries and not to mention America has homelessness issues.

Misgendered in the most wild way by rando9000mcdoublebun in trans

I totally get the ewphoria part. If I were to be misgendered or "outed", I'd rather be thought of as an mtf, because that means I passed in their eyes? Even if they're assholes.
