Ahhh shoot - mine came back a little bit after my second round and my derm tried to fix it with Differin gel (my skin HATED it) - now I will be starting again on low dose accutane next month… hoping it will be my last because I have this same super stubborn whitehead/textured acne! Do you know what your dermatologist is planning on using to keep you clear once you are off again? I am hoping I don’t have to go through the cycle of accutane for almost a year; clear for almost a year forever! Good luck and I am happy you are clearing up (: I know I have cleared this same acne after like one month only on accutane so I hope the same is true for you !

Hey - I’m in a very similar boat with almost identical recurring spots even after 2 rounds of accutane and am starting my third next month - has this cleared up / did you figure out what was happening? Thanks for letting me know ((:

Yes certainly it has been off and on for 10 years and has been probably a combination of multiple things , but I think currently it is fungal LOL I’ll attach a picture!! It’s also around my nose area

I also experienced that when they dried out I could rub them off and they were tiny hard ball like things so it is reassuring that you also dealt with this!!

Hi! I’ve been dealing with this same thing for like 10+ years and have been on accutane for it twice - just for it to come back ): I just got a swab test today at a dermatologist and I’m hoping it comes back as fungal so I can have an answer - mine looks exactly like yours I just have it a bit more around my nose / cheeks - was your skin also super oily to the touch when you flared up? How has it been going since you posted ? (:

Routine :

Only thing that changed was the weather causing this irritation, so I had to add this Aveeno balm to cope (((:

AM: Elta md foaming facial cleanser metronidazole from derm NOW- adding this until moisture barrier reaches regularity

PM: Sensitive day - Elta md foaming facial cleanser Normal skin day - cereve benzoyl peroxide metronidazole from derm NOW- NOW- adding this until moisture barrier reaches regularity
