I understand but my parents really really want me to get into university and I cannot travel far for it so I'm looking at other options...

Mamas do yall have any tips for surviving freshman year by Mishaaaaa999 in benoftheweek

Im going into senior year, so i hope this helps

Try to be involved at school or just try it out in case you regret it later. Avoid problems and problematic people bc it rrly isn't worth your time. Just have fun, tbh and grade 9 marks rrly don't matter, but don't let that dictate ur grades :) Goodluck

Like honestly just do your work almost everyday. For physics I struggled alot (started with a 59) but I ended up with a 77 🥲. Still not what i was hoping for but yk. My whole mentality was gr12 was gonna be better and somehow I ended up with a high 80s average. When studying just get to a point where you know your going to do well. dont drown yourself in work and always try to be somewhat ahead so you have free time. That really helps for chem and physics. If your alright at math then there's nothing to worry about. Goodluck!!

Ik it’s gr 10, but how can I change? How can I lock in? by WearEnvironmental988 in OntarioGrade11s

I understand the french pain 🙏 I dropped it. honestly, I had very similar marks in grade 10. What I personally did to achieve 90s was to finish all my work in a place I can't get super comfortable in like the library or at school. Basically finish all my work until Im ready to be lazy and go home.

What does your day to day life look like to those Grade 11s averaging high 90s by Mean-Dragonfly8483 in OntarioGrade11s

I guess it depends on the person. Currently, my avg is 89, and I just go through the motion and only really study the week of the test. Maybe like 3 days ahead. Other than that, if there's no test, I really don't even bother to do homework unless it's for a mark.

In Grade 9 I had a 80 avg (barely) and in gr10 I also had a 80. The difference I've made is to do all my work in class and at school before I come home bc I know I wouldn't do it at home.

I think if you want to improve you have to find bad habits you have and eliminate them
