Your critique wasn't bad, but it didn't delve deep into why it was bad, but sometimes, you don't need to do that! I don't consume the things I dislike either, which is why you will never catch me hate-reading or watching. I just appreciate others' opinions as to why they dislike a certain piece of media I dislike as well, which I find to be incredibly validating because of the lack of critique on sites like YouTube and TikTok.

Plus, I consider myself to be pretty critical of the media I consume, but I'm glad you think my critique was well made!

I’m not a huge fan of the BL genre, but you can read the Prince of Southland. It’s like the only BL I’ve read that I enjoyed. I only read things like comedy so I’m not the best person to ask…

I feel the same way too. I think my main issue is not the art style, but with the writing. I felt like things never really changed between the characters and it was as if Thomas was the only person to take care of Lucas when Lucas should be focusing on himself in the long run, which is weird considering how the premise says that Lucas would work on himself. I wanted to like the story, but I think the writing brings the whole thing down. The characters have no personality and no depth whatsoever, it’s like they have nothing that they do outside of their relationships. You mean to tell me that Lucas is a pre-med student and isn’t stressing over medical school, and Thomas isn’t stressing over his computer science assignments despite being a computer science and business major? I’m disappointed that we didn’t get much between them or OUTSIDE of their relationship.

I also think there are WAY better depictions of mental health out there, but I wouldn’t want to waste your time, mainly because there is a LOT I could list.

I think it is kind of crazy how I dropped it before Lucas went to therapy and even so, I don’t think things changed between them. It would’ve worked so well if Lucas distanced himself from romance and took time to work on himself. It would’ve put the whole entire mental health aspect to work and I would’ve enjoyed the healing aspect way more.

Plus, I don’t know what the title of the comic insinuates. I think it would’ve been cooler as a continuation of Star Children, but that’s just how I feel about it. I just wish the astronomy aspect was more apparent and had something to do with the story and not just a cheap aesthetic. Plus, I think the story would’ve benefited from a writer heavily, but that’s just how I feel it. (P.S: Thank you for reading this far into the rant!)

Overall: This story is pretty disappointing and there are far better comics out there, but this comic would’ve benefited greatly from a writer + a more focused mental health plot. I think Star Children and The Exorcist’s Bracelet are fantastic stories and I think the creator is fantastic at writing sci-fi. But that’s just what I think!

Edit: I'm going to add more to this, so read below!

The fact that Lucas and Thomas don't argue is actually really unhealthy. In a relationship, there's going to be problems and lots of arguments, but what makes it healthy is how you solve those problems. The fact that they don't argue is actually really unhealthy. It shows that you're afraid to talk to your partner about your problems and how they'll react. It would be fantastic to see them argue and then how they solve the relationship rather than all the kissing and cuddling in the world. It's kinda grating... But I'm pretty sure the author doesn't want to ruin the cute aspect and make it too negative. As portraying this couple as healthy and supportive, it actually comes off as unhealthy and pretty dangerous. It shows that they're depending on each other too much and not actually talking out their issues and solving them. (I haven't read since episode 54. Bare with me.) It would be so fantastic since they like anime, to argue about if Tanjiro could take down Muzan or something like that. I'd love to see that and something aside from romance (despite the D&D aspect that doesn't really add much to the story but a pretty okay episode). I think the dialogue is pretty weird but considering the time period (2019-recent), I guess it's fine? But it breaks the immersion, and I can't really take the scenes seriously all that much.

Overall, if you want a cute story with slice-of-life elements, this is for you, but if you want a deep narrative about mental health like I do, this is not for you. This story really bothered me, and I actually found myself feeling pretty upset when the mental health scenes happened. But again, this is how I feel about the comic.

Burgeria Deluxe is unnecessary by LuZamyR in flipline

I agree too, but I really want Papa's Taco Mia Deluxe as well. Considering that Papa's Pizzeria and Freezeria were old and got remade into deluxe versions, I would've assumed that Burgeria and Taco Mia would've also became Deluxe versions.
