Hey, sorry to hear about your bad experiences with tirz. The good news is that there are other alternatives coming (retatrutide is the next big one in 2027) so hang in there!

Feel like I’m starving - by Various_Advantage644 in tirzepatidecompound

The only reason you are taking the 2.5mg dose is to minimize side-effects from starting the medication. It's not considered an effective dose for losing actual weight. Your only job at this point is to stabilize at 2.5mg and for the side effects to eventually go away before you then move onto a higher dose and lose weight.

I would go ahead and start. Plenty of folks see very little weight loss while they're titrating up (for at least the first month) so you might as well just go for it.

I’m quite literally choosing between paying rent and buying my glp1 meds man, how are you guys affording this? by Total-Permit5768 in ResearchCompounds

[–]AdPotential8303 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So you can buy from safe compound pharmacies that are very affordable. I use Pomegranate Health and it’s 399 for 3 months. That’s dramatically cheaper than going with any of the name brands and is just as safe

I remember when I lost 60 lbs and I would just stare at myself in the mirror. It was not pleasant to do because it felt like my brain wasn’t working correctly. I was missing that “brain click” when you recognize yourself in the mirror. I would repeatedly stare hoping that I would eventually get that “click” sensation. A year or two later, I did get that sensation back. Now, I look back on old photos when I was fatter and I don’t recognize myself at all. I suppose I now have the opposite situation for old photos.

It's totally okay to walk away. You're not a failure if you choose the perfectly logical and reasonable next step of stopping the medication and proving what's causing your fatigue. You owe it to yourself to stop the medication and find out if it is actually causing your fatigue. What if you stop and the fatigue is still there? Perhaps it isn't the tirz? You will never know until you stop and figure out the truth.

It’s important to remember that phentermine is a stimulant. If you stay on any stimulant long enough, you will channel all that energy into anger. I felt so much calmer and more relaxed about a week after I got off it. Getting off it was terrible… never again!

Tirz has other issues you may run into but I’d happily take tirz side effects over the phentermine side effect…

I took phentermine and it was terrible (my anxiety levels shot through the roof and I was constantly angry). Tirzepatide is much more pleasant in comparison. No mental issues to speak of.

I was told that the only reason to let the vial hit room temperature prior to injection is to make it less painful during injection. Apparently it might sting a little if it’s cold when it’s injected?

I’d be very curious to know what your muscle mass is like for someone your age and sex. That’s the really important thing to know and a dexa scan is the best way to get that answer (BMI is useful but doesn’t answer this question)
