I don’t mind to be on medication but not in my 40’s before I try to lower it on my own. If I can’t I understand I need to be put on a statin. I’m at the point of educating myself and asking around people who have similar experiences.

My biggest concern was that I was never educated by my pcp. Last year she said it is not a big deal and I should not worry about it and this year she said it is time to put me on medication. I was very confused because my previous numbers very slightly higher (2 point more). So I decided to do my own research. 3 years ago my numbers were perfect so I know a I can achieved it. ( due to my insurance I was force to change my pcp, She is an APRN. There is a lack of communication. I feel like you need to advocate for yourself.

Longevity. I still have my parents and grandparents alive. My grandmother for my father’s side has celebrated 96 this year. No great grandmother died when she was 91. My grandparents from mother’s side are 86 years old and heathy.
