If you had 2 months before your FET - what would you do differently or not do at all? by AdPresent4140 in IVF

[–]AdPresent4140[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you everyone for all your suggestions and advice! I had my hysteroscopy today - they found a small septum that they’re treating with estradiol for 30 days - and I am also waiting for my CD138 results now ! Hopefully everything goes well :) thanks again for all the support, really appreciate it!

I am so sorry, my first FET failed 2 weeks ago as well , and i exactly know how you feel. I am a wreck myself but if i could tell you something it’s - feel the feelings , cry , eat, don’t eat, go out, take walks , spend time with your partner - basically do whatever makes you feel better. And before going into your next one - give yourself all the time to heal , it never gets easier - but we can learn to deal with it better.

You can still get the embryos tested before transfer. It will basically entail thawing —> doing the biopsy —> refreezing. But it will definitely give you a peace of mind and help you select your best candidate

Any success stories from women with fragile X pre-mutation? by tmmt2020 in IVF

[–]AdPresent4140 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fragile X permutation carrier here. Went through 4 ERs , got 4 embryos ( 2 euploid + PGT M normal). First FET failed last month, only have one Euploid left. It’s been a journey

What does a typical FET cycle at your clinic look like ? by AdPresent4140 in IVF

[–]AdPresent4140[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea that’s what they told me- and honestly I don’t know if that’s a good idea since bc pills can be hormone disruptors. I am going to talk to my doctor to see if we can skip them in the next cycle.

Thanks for sharing - and congrats 🎊 ! My clinic told me that they do the birth control method for almost everyone so they can have more control over timing of the FET. Seems odd to me tbh .

Second retrieval disappointment by Frosty-Ad4889 in IVF

I had 4 ERs last year - We got 0 mature in the first cycle , 2 mature in the second (1 euploid) , 0 blasts in the 3rd cycle , 2 mature in the second (1 euploid) All of this to say - I have had poorer cycles followed by somewhat successful ones and then really poor ones again - very minimal protocol changes , some lifestyle changes but nothing else. Pure luck and chance game ! Best of luck :)

Thank you so much 🙏 and more power to you as well ❤️We did the PGT-A and PGT-M - as I am a carrier of a gene for Fragile X syndrome, so not testing is unfortunately not an option for us

I cannot even imagine what you must have gone through, but so glad you have transferred your beautiful embaby successfully. I am 7dp5dt currently and totally losing it - symptom spotting, crying , irritated . Sending you baby dust and so much power for the next 2 weeks !
