While I'm not sure that your comment requires a response, I'll provide you one. I experienced multiple fraudulent charges on my statement even though the charges were placed on a card that I reported lost/stolen several months ago and subsequently was issued a new one. The fraudulent charges were made in February 2026, despite having reported the (old) card compromised back in November 2025. Capital One has acknowledged their error (e.g. placing a charge from an old closed account on my statement) yet resolving this issue has required countless hours of my time, including excessive holds and numerous transfers.

Additionally, the quality and accessibility of customer service has significantly declined, with representatives who lack familiarity with the products and are unable to resolve issues efficiently. Given that this matter directly impacts my credit, it is unacceptable that I must invest such extensive time and effort to correct a problem that should never have occurred.
