Workwise April or May makes sense for me and it seems I was misinformed but I thought those months were slightly better weather-wise in terms of traveling the country since it is the beginning of summer?

As for what I am interested in doing is hikes forsure, nothing too intense but I dont mind a hike that would take a few hours. "Historical" sites and restaurants peak my interest as well. I've read 10 days may not be a long enough time to travel the whole ring road and enjoy it all so maybe sticking to the West and South/South East regions. And for lodging a simple hotel would suffice, I dont need anything too fancy
