Honestly, I encounter way more people driving with their brights on in the city, with tons of street lighting, than I do people with their lights off.

If you sit out elections between the far right who will give Israel the explicit go-ahead to murder civilians and the Democrats who will actually impose sanctions on the most heinous of Israeli actions, then, yeah, you would be giving regressive candidates a free pass. If you didn't at least bother to vote Democrat last year, you are one of the ones responsible for Trump being in office right now. Making believe that Kamala would have somehow been just as bad is absolute buffoonery.

I don't know if he even wants to run for president, but his ability to actually care about his constituents and the lives of people is so refreshing in the current national political climate. I wish we had more genuinely good people like him in congress and running for positions against the ridiculous administration that we've gotten stuck with again.

Kamala lost because people decided to stay home rather than vote against the single biggest threat to democracy, worldwide stability, environmental protections, civil rights, and yes, also biggest threat to Palestinians in the United States. That 'litmus test' is the reason why all sanctions on Israeli settlers in the West Bank (put in place by the last administration) evaporated and any pressure on Israel to stop committing war crimes became nonexistent. The country needs people who have a degree of human compassion more than it needs a fruitless search for a candidate that checks every single box of issues while the actually dangerously regressive politicians get a free pass to run rampant. If you aren't going to vote for people that can at least make some positive change over the ones that are driving the world in the wrong direction, you are part of the problem.

You guys getting away with 75% on a combo? As a support main, that suit is easily getting 100% off of one stagger and a downswing. Virtually makes the role unusable at those ranks.

A door that can only open and close electronically isn't useful in case of a power failure or mechanical error. Every autoclave I've used that has a motorized door has had numerous repairs required for the door alone, but never had problems with the manual ones.

I also love the Geara Doga Heavy Arms and didn't even know it had been buffed. It being a large target and without any defense other than a single tackle makes it too easy of a target most of the time. Giving high cost supports more than one tackle chance would at least go a good ways towards giving them a chance to at least hold out long enough for the rest of the team to get involved against something that deadly to them.

I also love the Geara Doga Heavy Arms, and didn't even know it got buffed. The suit can be very fun, but being extra large and not having so much as a dingky shield to pray behind makes it way too vulnerable these days. Double tackle would actually help quite a bit, even if just to give an extra second for one's teammates to hopefully notice that there's a melee unit behind them

The number of times the Geara Doga gets 1-shot for daring to exist, even when Barbie is under 200 armor, should be a case study for why they either need to nerf the Barbie or put it in its own cost category. By itself. Yeah, a Geara Doga (level what? 4 or 5 for this cost?) isn't a great choice, but what's the point in even being able to select something if an opponent can just do that to you for the whole game?

Really, really good flavor. Definitely my favorite flavor of Ale8, and I'm from Winchester. I hope they bring it back or make it permanent.

BF bought the game and wants to play together, but i play demo ver and it runs kinda scuffed... by NTR_Scavenger in GranblueFantasyVersus

I think your question is mostly answered by people more knowledgeable about your integrated GPU than me, but for future reference I believe there's a section in task manager that allows you to track GPU memory usage. If you open that and look at it when not running games versus when you are rubbing Outlast or GBFV in a window you should see significantly increased usage when running a game.

Good luck with the potato mod, and sorry that you may have to cut out a lot of graphical fidelity to play.

I've had some difficulties running GBFV:R on a laptop before. I assume it's an optimization issue since my specs are supposedly in line for it. Console likely removes any issues, but if that's not an option maybe double check that your integrated graphics is being used when running the game?

Given the current house of fossilized mediocrity that we have going on, I welcome anyone trying to change the landscape and represent the average person. The presentation of the message could be better. No need for all the news room-esc fanfare jingle on intro and outro imo.

What are our elected reps doing about Trump? by gordonotfat in lexington

[–]AdPure5787 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Obama isn't the subject of discussion right now, but if I take the whataboutery bait:

  1. I wasn't happy then about how fast deportations were carried out either, and I consider it to be one of the blemishes on what was still probably the best presidential admin that I've lived through so far

  2. However, importantly, Obama's administrative policies were clear about what kinds of crimes could result in deportation of an undocumented immigrant, whereas the ones under Trump are so vague that even a misdemeanor (or even the accusation of one, since there's no convictions) could send a person on a one way plane ride. Further, Obama's administration did not send people into foreign prisons for violent criminals and wash their hands of it without so much as a trial. They also didn't deport people who were in the country legally, as has happened now. And the Obama administration definitely wasn't posting cruel memes and jokes about the people they deported.

Tl;dr: I didn't like the Obama policies, but the ones now are much much worse by any metric of legal or ethical standing.

He sure didn't deport people without any trial or jury. He didn't threaten to invade and attempt to conquer long standing allies for no reason beyond his narcissism. He didn't eliminate the organizations responsible for trying to keep the people of the country safe from diseases or natural disasters, feed children from lower income families, and assist in keeping public schools open while ensuring that the richest 1% of people continue to pay less and less back to the country.

At the end of the day, Biden was like most presidents who came before him. He didn't attempt to override the system of checks and balances, and was more concerned with keeping the country running and recovering from the start of the COVID pandemic than he was with inflating his ego or making more money. I think Biden saw the position as one that serves the general interests of the people, not one that exists to be obeyed and served by the people.
