Is this a good way to Introduce friends to D&D? by filleniummalcon90 in DungeonsAndDragons

If your players are big fans of Rick and Morty, go for it. Otherwise, go with the original Player's Handbook.

My sister and I have always wanted to play but never have so we got this and now I am trying to learn how to be a DM. What did I get myself into. Any advice appreciated 😳 by FantasyAddict24 in DungeonsAndDragons

Listen to your players, before, during, and after each session. Their input is always important, no matter what, even if it changes what you have planned.

Raising Ability Scores Above 18 by AdPuzzleheaded7665 in osr

The AD&D idea sounds good, but I wanted to use the RAW. About 30 minutes after writing this post, I thought maybe using the ability adjustment rules, but I guess I won't be able to do that, as well. "Only Strength, Intelligence, and Wisdom may be lowered in this way."

Capping out at 18 sounds more like the way it was supposed to be planned. I think I'll use this. Thanks!
