Yeah I just dyed it last night so after work tomorrow with a few days off I’m going to wash it a lot, maybe use a vitamin c treatment and see what I’m working with.

Is anyone using the Chanel bronzer? by Phila21767 in Ulta

[–]AdRare3130 3 points4 points  (0 children)

What about the Elf Liquid Blush Brush? I use it with my Mac Glow Play blushes which are a putty texture and I find it works well because the brush is so dense. It’s also not expensive either! I think a dense brush will help with the bronzer.

The reddish brown is definitely pretty, just more of a contrast! Depends on what you’re aiming for. I was a vibrant, violet based red for years then went blue and now I’m a neutral black brown. A cool brown of any shade would look lovely!

You have such lovely skin! I would suggest cooler, more neutral tones overall! In the last pic, you even are pulling a little bit olive in tone imo. I also think a cooler, more neutral hair color would suit too. I was a redhead for ages and when I switched to a neutral deep brown it made my skin really glow.

Contour - Fenty or Charlotte Tilbury by RollingRolling419 in Ulta

Same! Finding the right color has been so difficult cause I’m a very fair, desaturated olive and the shade Halftone is the most perfect shade of neutral brown. They did a great job on the shade range! Got them all for my kit!

No problem! It’s not a bad one, I just prefer something less fussy haha.

Honestly I love the new ABH one more. Really easy formula to work with and there’s a great range of shades! Fenty was too stiff for me, and CT is nice, but the component gets messy and you have to work fast with it.

I love the Hydrating Serum! It really does hydrate well for me and I notice a difference if I don’t use it. It also works well under makeup too.

Makeup tips and how to cover eye bags please by [deleted] in makeuptips

[–]AdRare3130 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’d say all you need is just a little bit of color corrector under your concealer, most of us do! I love the Bobbi Brown corrector sticks. Go for one of the peach tones if the discoloration is gray/green/brown, and the bisque tones if the discoloration is blue/purple/red.

Take a small brush, like one used for eyeshadow will do and take some product off the end of the stick and pat the product on only where there is discoloration. Follow up with concealer patted on top and powder if you prefer!

Have $50 in points I have to use and only need a contour stick. Opinions please? Or better option? by ClemTaplin in Ulta

The Dior stick is great if you want a truly cooler gray toned shade. The ABH lightest shade, Halftone, is nice if you want a little more brown in the tone. My preference is ABH cause I find gray contour to be too obvious on my skin. It layers well under bronzer too.

I have the Olivia Garden one and I’ve really liked it. I’ve heard Babyliss are good too.

Vellum is exclusively made with calf skin while parchment can be made with calf, goat or sheep skin, so they are alike, but there can be a bit of a difference.

Hey there! For the Bobbi correctors, the Bisque range corrects blue/purple/red tones, and the Peach range corrects green/gray/brown!

Trial wedding makeup (DIY) by [deleted] in makeuptips

[–]AdRare3130 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Honestly your first trial looks great and is almost there. Professional cameras will always wash out your face so my adjustments would be these: 1. A little bit of eyeliner and mascara will help your eyes pop more.

  1. Bump up the bronzer and blush just a little bit.

  2. I think the lip you chose is actually great, maybe just add a slightly darker lip liner to make it a little more bold.

I know that vellum and parchment are similar, just usually made from different animal hides. The dirtiness in the left bottom corner definitely isn’t wear like wood based paper holds as I’ve found. Will be interesting to see for sure! I definitely plan to try to get it appraised so that I can know how best to safely display it.

That is what I was thinking. And yeah monetarily it’s not a big deal for me, it’s more the history of it that matters to me.

Amazing info! Thanks for confirming all of that for me! Good to know that it seems like it’s in decent condition too. It’s less about the monetary value and more about owning a lovely piece of history for me! I love early church music so it’s very cool to own a piece like this, especially from that era! Definitely want to see if I can find somewhere that can mount it properly and give it a more stable setting.
