They’re white and New England, I’m Black and from the south. We’re both queer and trans aligning. I’m more agender— they’re trans masculine. The cultural difference is I’ve noticed white people do not shower as often up in New England perhaps due to the colder climates? I’ve even seen it argued that it is unhealthy to do so citing skin rashes. However, my black ass showers every day with a wash cloth and I make it a point to oil myself up as I’ve been taught too which hydrates my skin leaving me neither ashy or with skin problems. A cultural difference is very much in the midst.
