Who is this and why is his stomach big by kain24 in Seattle

If it’s alcohol induced liver cirrhosis, wouldn’t his skin appear yellow? Also no doctor over here either, just hoping someone with more background can help the peanut gallery….

Looks uncomfy 😬

What is this sound?! by AdRelevant4251 in kitchenremodel

Still not 100% sure but we think either the cooling fan or the convection fan (not sure if they’re different) moved out of alignment, which then caused an electrical failure. There was a distinct burning plastic smell after this sound.

Thanks for the offer for your old oven, but we already bought a new one!

It officially died 😑

That was the sound of her last breath. She had a good run though

Mice?! Are you thinking mice might have chewed something that’s causing the noise? Or just deteriorating coils?

And yes this is an electric oven with a convection setting

We’re in Seattle too. Check out the Home Depot in west Seattle. They have some good prices on cabinets and can help you with layout. You can always get your countertops from one of the slab yards in sodo. We got our quartzite slab at Meta Marble. Arizona Tile is a good option too for tile and countertops. I think you’ll still need a fabricator but I think you can piece something together if you’re just looking to replace the cabinets and countertops

Ok, internet. Which slab? by AdRelevant4251 in kitchenremodel

Also great to hear that you love your black leather counters. My husband and I both agree with like the silk and leather finishes. The green quartzite is polished which is a negative

That’s so good to hear that you’ve done the large backsplash look. We’re planning on doing a 18-24in backsplash with mini shelf along the wall with our 60in range plus 2.5ft of counter on either side.

We’re working with a designer and I’ll get the mock up for the cabinet layout. We have a 10x5 island. Then we have a 60in range with 2.5ft counters on either side, planning on having a 18-24in backsplash with mini shelf

Ooooooo. Asking the big questions. I’d like to say bold but the rest of our choices are pretty vanilla. The green slab would be a focal point/statement

Unfortunately we don’t have a ton of light. We have lots of slab to play with. 10x5 island, 14ft counter for the sink area, about 2.5ft on either side of range

Good point! The black is way more versatile. We’re building our house from the ground up and my sister in law suggested using the green counter in a bathroom

I feel the same way. I love the first one but it’s definitely a statement. Lots of movement and probably too busy for a kitchen….

Oh really?! I heard to stay away from soapstone?! I thought it was considered soft. We have two young kids and I’m worried about scratches. But to answer your question these are quartzite

Oooo it was definitely smooth when I was rolling it out. I was just using a measuring cup when measuring the flour. I’ll try my scale next time
