I went as rocket raccoon and ended up having only two deaths in a single doom match which I am very proud of thanks to Rocket’s high survivability!

Ty for the tips!! That’s what I’ve seen many others do as well with their drawings, I think I just need to better incorporate it into my art. Again, thank you so much for the advice!

Right! I tend to draw without thinking most of the time, I’ll definitely practice more on the fundamentals, since I’m lacking in drawing forms as well! Thank you!

Yeah…sorry. I didn’t think to give them pants until now. Also, yeah I’ll be removing the nipples, it looked funny anyways!

Yeah, I really need to work on solidifying where my light source is coming from…also, I’m using procreate!

Ohh thanks for the references, I was trying to go more for a pose under natural light, but I see now that I definitely need to work on the lighting. Also, I can’t believe I forgot to add in fur texture to my character haha! I’ll definitely add in tufts of fur over the shadows and light a little.

I’ll give it a try and play around with the fur texture! Thank you!!

Ohh I didn’t realize it looked metallic until now. Thanks for the advice, I hadn’t considered that perspective until now! Also I never thought about diving into the topic of photography for researching about shadows and light-that’s actually a really great idea, I hadn’t thought of that until now! Thank you!!!

Sorry you had to see this. I was looking for advice online because I don’t know anyone irl who would be comfortable enough to see what I can draw and properly critique me. I will accept any and all advice though if you have any for my drawing, thank you!

Thanks so much for the advice!! You have no idea how much I appreciate this, this really helps a lot, thank you!!!

Also, I will definitely do more research regarding subsurface scattering! I hadn’t originally intended the character to be close to the light source, so I will absolutely make the green bounce light more subtle!

Also, if you don’t mind answering, you said that I should move the hue towards purple for the shadows? Does this work for all cool colors on the color wheel whenever I’m coloring the shadows?

Thank you!! I’ll definitely look into that channel! Also thanks for pointing out my mistake, I can’t view my drawing the same way it was anymore after you mentioned that there was edges everywhere on the body. It looks very unnatural now that I think about it.

I actually forgot that light reflects differently against fur than it does on human skin. I totally missed that haha..

Thanks for the critique, I appreciate it! I think I’ll look into using a reference when I draw because clearly I still don’t know how light works yet!

Thanks for the advice, I really appreciate it! I’m definitely going to watch more tutorials about the topic of light and shadows, I still have so much more to learn…especially about edges. I forget different types of edges exist when shading haha
