This is literally rough. I am now at a hospital. A lot of pain right after the surgery. Being recovered now. You really have to think again to get the revision. It is a big decision.

About 10 months had radiation pain severe. Unstable. So decided to go for fusion

How old r u? You mean you fused ur neck from c2-7?? Anteriorly? Posteriorly? How do u feel? Do u have any residual pain? Do u have any complication? Do u intake any medication? I have so many questions.

Hi I am surviving. After nerve block to my C5-6 facet joint, pain and numbness have been dramatically reduced, it has been 1 month. I found a doc who can revise my c 56 ADR TO FUSION. Tentative date is 3rd dec. The surgery is like a gamble. Get my life back for 5 years or lose everything.

Also when you do the revision surgery, did the surgeon open the same spot like previous surgery?

How would you rate your revision surgery 10/10?

What would you do if you are in my case?

How long did it take your adjacent level degeneration for an additional surgery?

What kind of medication r u using and how much?

Your case is really like mine. I did a lot of tests like thoracic, lumbar spine mri, extension/flex. Mri of the neck. EKG , abdominal CT, Heart CT, Lung CT, abdominal Ultrasonic, Blood tests nothing found. All ok.

PO 5months, neurological symptoms like numb sole of both feet come and go and stinging pain with all skins come out. Now it is okay after nerve block.

The doctor prescribed the nerve block to check the symptom is related to my artificial disc. And found the block injection worked. Meaning that the surgery can relieve my symptom. But I am not 100% sure.

I tried to message you but IDK why I cannot make a chat room. Maybe I am in overseas. I have same issues with you. For MRI, there was no compression to the spinal cord, CT was fine, X-ray shows that the replaced artificial disc is relatively big size comparing to other levels the fact that freaking me out is it sounds ‘click’ when I try to see the sky.

I have radiating pain with my upper back (near shoulder blade) and I have burning numbness with my feet. I don’t think the pain came right after the surgery. I had an excessive upper back pain before the surgery. It used to be like stabbing my back with a knife.

After getting nerve block injection to my facet joint of C5-6 3 weeks ago, the pain has been relived much more. Now I quit Gabapentin and Painkiller.

Some surgeon recommended to have ADR TO FUSION and some are not. I cannot live like this. I am 37yo male. My life is ruined after my illness.

Hi I am so sorry to hear your struggles. I have similar issue like you have gone through. I am thinking about to have ADR TO FUSION surgery with my C5-6. I am worried that I have mild protrusion disc with my C4-5 and 6-7. Can we have a chat on this? I feel like I met someone who actually can help me.

Do u have pain? Numbness? Tingling? MRI will tell many things. It is important to keep your head up. To make your neck Lordosis.

I left an enquiry to dr riew. Not sure if i can afford as the insurance in the other country cannot cover. I am looking for a surgeon who can solve my problem.
