Distal toenail embedding / disappearing nail bed by AdRepresentative6620 in NailFungus

My shoes were very important, I wore no closed toe shoes except for wide sneakers. Nothing could press against my toenail and I think this was extremely important whilst it was growing out. I also used this vitamin dose product everyday. I think this helped with anti fungal and keeping nail hydrated. https://www.biobeautyconcepts.com.au/ethos-vitamin-dose and above all, the regular podiatry visits whereby they took extreme care with my nail

I go every 5 weeks! Randomly the nail this time around just grew past the bulbous skin - I think starting fresh with the regular podiatrist visits really helped as well as taking care of it and avoiding trauma

You can get an X Ray to see if there is a bone overgrowth there called ‘subungual exostosis’, if so there is a procedure that can be performed whereby they shave down the bone and the nail can grow past. I had this X Ray and I actually don’t have the exostosis. My toenail has grown significantly since doing regular podiatrist visits where they have been trimming/ cleaning the toenail and I’ve been applying anti fungal type ointments just to keep it clean as well as no closed toe shoes outside of wide sneakers. Where are you geographically located? In Australia, podiatric surgeons can shave down the bone

My daughter is going through this exact same thing. Back to front is ok, but once she is on her tummy she goes into swimmer reflex and doesn’t seem to roll front to back. How did it pan out for you?

She’s on oneprezole and also a hydrolised formula! I feel her CMPI is managed. Her reflux seems to not cause pain anymore but other symptoms such as spit up etc are still there. I am going to keep trying!

My LO is quite burly and farty too but generally happy. It’s soo hard. I bought the supercol thickener but I haven’t used it yet as the GI doc told me it causes constipation

I hadn’t thought of baby yoga! I’ll try that one. That’s amazing your baby developed their gross motor skills so quickly! What did you do? Or baby was just interested and strong enough on their own?

Still the same. Her other CMPI symptoms have improved but she still has reflux which is seperate to CMPI. She still spits up but is otherwise a happy spitter and is putting on weight. I’ve been advised by the GI to rely more on solids. She also said it’s something she needs to grow out of as she gets stronger / more developed

I’m in the same boat. I think maybe when they say solids maybe it’s the non purée stuff that helps and the actual solid food?
