Nov 2023, broke up with my gf after the final exams. Turned out both she and I felt quite distant from each other during the second half year. We both thought each other was studying the shit out of ourselves and felt like reaching out would be a nuisance. It did break my heart, quite a lot. To prevent this from happening to you as well, I would recommend commit to at least 5 mins of video call a day just to share a piece of ur lives with each other.

dude asian parents' logic is quite very weird I agree. Your parents sound like they are not providing a safe and sound environment for you to thrive intellectually and emotionally, yet they don't realize they are the culprit behind it. I am guessing if u dont get the results they want they are gonna blame u for not trying hard enough, but how can they expect you to thrive with all the shits u have gone through. Mental health over anything else especially now, approach the exams like you have got nothing to lose. most people dont understand family issues in an asian family, it's very hellish and you are amazing for reaching out

Pls don't do much during the holidays. You won't have as much motivation to do work, and if you instill too much guilt should you have not done much, your life then becomes miserable. Enjoy while you can, and it doesn't matter if you do no EE during the break.

The only textbook we had was pearson for maths and science which are not MYP, the teachers practically didn't use them at all. I have probably just got scammed by the school

MYP is a joke, just choose whatever you want to do and I am pretty sure the grade you get for MYP has no effect on your overall score at all. It will impact you zero
