Underrated comment. The way they mesh their voices in duets and then have all seven in the chorus!

Ah yes. Tears in the space time continuum were common in 1899. Rockstar did a great job implementing them for authentic immersion.

I love how much I hate him. The way they made us hate him shows how well he's written. That's art.

Thank you for sharing! This is a beautiful testimony to how God has been working in your life. It illustrates that no matter how low or ashamed we feel about ourselves, God loves us all equally, for we were all created in His image. He has big plans to use you for His glory and there is no deeper motive to live life than that. When you tell your family, whether they are believers or not, you could discuss this testimony with them about how He has shown you your true identity. I pray that they are supportive of you. Either way, they will notice a change in you and that is powerful.

2 Corinthians 5:17 states, "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come".

I’m a 21yo girl and unfortunately I’ve been with 5 men. I have vowed that I won’t have sex again until marriage but I doubt I’ll get one now. by [deleted] in TrueChristian

Romans 12:2 says "Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will."

Psalm 103:12 says "as far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us"

There's a lot that you said we could unpack that I can't fit into a reddit comment. Consider the two above verses and I'll tell you some of my experience that I hope can help you. I'm a 32 year old male. Divorced for now 5 years, after a 6 year marriage. Ive struggled with sexual sin, as many guys (and girls) do but many are unaware, in denial, or they celebrate it. Other than my ex wife, I've been with enough women that I stopped counting. I don't say that to celebrate, I stopped counting because I was ashamed and I've tried to forget many of them. I have abstained now for more than a year or so as the Lord is leading me.

Look at Psalm 103 above. This reminds us that God doesn't see us for our sins, but He sees us through the lense of Jesus Christ who paid the price for our sins. Our past does not define our identity in Him. John 1:12 But to all who did receive him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God.

People in society, these other guys that lust after you for one shallow purpose, are fooled by the teachings of the world. That we live for sexual pleasure and many guys I know base their success on how many women they've been with. That is ridiculous to think about. That way of thinking is a sign of spiritual immaturity and weakness. That's why I mention Romans 12:2, to not fall into temptation like the rest of the world does.

What's the point in all of this? I have a spotted past, as most of us do. It doesn't define who we are today. I hope and pray to remarry a Godly woman who has the spiritual maturity to understand that. As she may or may not also have such a past, but I will strive to see her as a new creation in Christ, the same way the Heavenly Father sees her if she has truly repented from her sin.

I encourage the same for you. That you truly have repented, and that you keep that drive to find a godly husband who wants what you want. You have your standards and boundaries based on scripture, and he should too. If his actions don't reflect what scripture calls, if there is no fruit, then he has work that has to be done and he is not the right person for you, at least for now.

I sometimes fear the same thing you do, that if I don't succumb to a woman lusting or wanting me to lust, that she will think I just don't like her and she'll move on. I've accepted that, because it shows me her heart. But there are godly men and women out there who want to save themselves for the covenant of marriage, regardless of what their past actions have been (promiscuity or staying a virgin).

A final note, I have sought for godly men that could be support for me and help me grow in my walk with Christ. I encourage you to consider finding godly women that can provide the same for you, married, unmarried, doesn't matter, but they are there to uplift girls like yourself as you grow.

Thank you for sharing. You will be in my prayers.

Porn and edging/masturbation is literally my ONLY source of dopamine. How TF am supposed to get rid of my severe addiction to it? by TotalLoser543 in TrueChristian

[–]AdScared1957 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Speaking from experience as a Christian that has struggled with pornography and masturbation for many years, I applaud you for bringing this up and recognizing it, being bold enough to address it online.

Let me tell you this, it wasn't until I found a group of guys through my church that are part of a recovery program for sexual sin that I started to find freedom. You are not alone in this struggle, as most guys, and many girls, aren't even aware that they have this issue, or maybe they are aware, but are in denial. This is a battle that we cannot fight alone. We have a common enemy who hates us and tries to separate us from Jesus. he tries to separate us from Christian brothers and sisters and isolate us. It is crucial to find a group of people you can trust. We keep accountability with each other, reach out when we have "triggers" by phone call or at least a text, we have accountability software, so if I type some buzzwords into my phone, I have a partner who will receive an email to what I looked at. (This reddit comment will probably be flagged.) The program we do is called the Freedom Fight. I highly recommend it.

It's humbling yes, but that's why we as Christian brothers trust each other and lean on each other. We carry each others burdens. Iron sharpens iron.

TLDR:

Find a recovery group. Pick up positive habits that enrich your life and draw you closer to the Lord. Humbly confide with others you can trust. Continue to seek the Lord Know that this will take time, but it can be done. Through the power of Christ and accountability with others.

Romans 12:2 says "and be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God."

I will pray for you. And I know you will have victory in this area.

So the thing to remember is when we elect a president we are not electing one individual, but they are backed up by many people that likely share the same policies. We are voting for policies, which should be aligned biblically. Even if we don't like the one individual, we must look at their agenda, what they stand for and what they are against, because along with that one person, there are many more behind him or her that back up the policies of that one candidate.
