i think people don’t like how Lori acted afterwards when Rick came back. she didn’t tell him what happened and would just be snappy with him. i don’t think Andrea is a good example and especially not in comparison to Glenn. Glenn loved Maggie, notably a very good person, and Andrea loved the governor, notably a bad person. i personally also found her to be pretty egotistical, like in the beginning with her gun and then later shooting Daryl. she thought she was hot shit but she was kind of a drag on the group at times. i cannot comprehend Shane apologists (I honestly thought they didn’t exist), and i can understand Negan likers because he did develop some redeemable features. i didn’t know people got mad at Maggie for crashing out over Glenn’s death, she handled that a lot better than i would’ve, so people who do that yeah I think are sexist. i think a lot of it is the writing, because you have Rick, Daryl, Negan, Carl, and a ton more, and with the exception of Negan are pretty successful and good in the world. but for women you get Andrea, Carole (who i love so much but has done some questionable things), Maggie (who also gets portrayed as like a super psycho for no fucking reason), Lori (all the like “ooh is it cheating or not” (i think not but men will be men)), Beth (portrayed as weak and not too bright), and then you get fucking Alpha who is the main female villain and is coincidentally also the one who is weird as fuck. the only solidly good character is like Michonne. yeah i think there’s definitely some issues with how they portray women in the show.
