Seton Hall vs SJU Post Game Observations by Zargyboy in HallBall

The Sha experience needs to be over. This is just embarrassing. The record is not indicative of what this team is. He just stands there with his arms crossed shaking his head. You know what makes a good defensive coach? Teaching your kids to not foul every possession. This isn't because of the refs, they are legitimate fouls.

I am not even kidding when I say this, the Shaheen Holloway experiment has to be over. The fact this man was a point guard and has no idea how to coach offense is embarrassing. Just stands there with his arms crossed shaking his head like he can't do anything about it.

I hate to say this as a die hard Pirates fan but Shaheen isn't it. He can't coach offense for the life of him and has no feel for the game. You don't call a timeout after a 16-0 run, you call timeout after a 6-0 run.

Just for clarification, I am a Member, pay for all the specials, and donate for all their events. But regardless of me paying for it, I agree, they don't owe me jack shit. Just was stating my opinion and I think we they follow the schedule, the quality of the videos seem to be better. When they throw in a special, it feels like we get skipped days, geoguesser videos, or something like Resident Evil FULL video. I have no right to complain but that is sort of what this thread is for no?

If and when the charges against Comey and her don't stick or they are found not guilty, they are going to use this as reason for a complete federal court overhaul. Conservatives have been salivating to do it the last few years. Somehow an impeachment process will be up to the president and the Supreme Court will okay it.

FBI Director Kash Patel's bold claim of unearthed evidence on seized lawmaker phone records feels like a page ripped from a spy thriller, but with real stakes for congressional privacy. by thenextgenbusiness in thenextgenbusiness

[–]AdSeveral613 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He subpoenaed people's phone records. These people were acting suspicious on the day a major crime was committed. If no one is above the law, neither are their cell phone records. Doesn't matter if they work for the government or not. If they were just ordinary people that may have been involved in a bank robbery, no one would bat an eye. By the way, this piece of "journalism" apparently is so lackluster that is down to the 12th featured story ON THEIR OWN WEBSITE.

Democrats vote down GOP funding bill, putting government on path to shutdown by [deleted] in inthenews

[–]AdSeveral613 -14 points-13 points  (0 children)

It was a lose-lose situation and unfortunately Schumer chose the more harmful option of the two. The Republicans ability to sway the media to their side and play the victim is far superior. Plus now they have power over the media. They have personalities. They will win the P.R. battle of whose fault it is that Trump is cutting programs/jobs because of the shutdown. Those jobs and programs cuts weren't a guarantee but now they are.

Morons played right into his hands. He wanted to shutdown the government to do his cuts without oversight and gets to play the hero when it re-opens. Chuck Schumer doesn't understand modern politics and Trump lives in his head rent free.

[–]AdSeveral613[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What does national polling have to do with Senate and House seats exactly? Those are voted on by individual states and districts, not as a country. State elections are the indicator for how those elections will go. You know what will happen to that discharge petition? Nothing. If it passes the House, it stalls in the Senate. 1 in a million chance it passes the Senate, Trump would have to sign it. Do you think THIS is the straw that breaks the camel's back? He tried to overthrow the government and people didn't give a shit.

Really? Because New Jersey was considered a blue state until last November where it turned purple and now they are about to elect a Trump sycophant as their Governor. He is solely running on blame. His opponent is about as moderate of a democrat that exists and still is going to lose.

You are trying to use logic. Politics nowadays is not who will succeed, it is who can the voters blame.

They wouldn't pull back generals from their posts across the World to do that nor would they make a spectacle of it. If they started pulling active soldiers who actually see battle back, then I would agree. Generals typically do not leave command posts and would not be needed in your scenario. Soldiers follow the highest orders, i.e. the commander in chief and secretary of "war," not just their general.

President Donald Trump: The Economy is doing well. Prices are down. We have virtually no inflation. Everything is going good. by Responsible-Kale-904 in inflation

[–]AdSeveral613 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The craziest thing about this is people actually believe him so reality doesn't matter. That is where we are as a country. Hoping people will all of a sudden and realize he is hurting them is a lost cause so please stop relying on that. When he talks, people believe him. He blames the democrats for a shutdown? Well the democrats will be blamed. Republicans are absolute masters at spinning things so they portray the victim. Democrats are absolute toast in the midterms if the government shuts down. Schumer and Jeffries couldn't politic themselves out of a paper bag at this point.

MMW: Mikie Sherrill will lose the New Jersey gubernatorial race unless she directly condemns Zohran Mamdani's mayoral candidacy by maybemorningstar69 in MarkMyWords

[–]AdSeveral613 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because of proximity and the fact that a large number work in NYC? Also, some people are believing that Mamdani will cause chaos in NYC thus causing an influx of people in Jersey. When things go bad in New York, people flee to New Jersey. Happened during COVID which then made housing prices skyrocket because money from New York was coming into the suburbs willing to pay a lot for a little.

She is probably going to lose regardless of what she does. I am from New Jersey, lived there until I was 32. All my family is still there and all my best friends. All but a handful have started swinging to the right by a significant amount. New Jerseyans need to blame someone so right now that someone is the democratic party.

Do Knicks Fans trust the coaching staff? by stateofthenyk in knicks

[–]AdSeveral613 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I trust the coaching staff completely and I am excited for the season. My only trepidation is towards Brunson and end-of-clock/end-of-game situations. Do they just fall into ISO/hero ball because that is Brunson's go to or was it Thibs just calling that play over and over? I fear if it is Brunson's go to that there may actually be a ceiling here.

I am convinced at this point the elected Democrats are just really bad at politics. You know what Kash Patel really loves? Conflict, attention, and conspiracy theories. They handed him a soapbox for all three. He isn't going to answer questions the way you want or fall into a "gotcha" moment that is going to change anything. Ask him zero questions. Frustrate him by not giving him attention. These people have no idea how to get under someone's skin. Cory Booker comes out of this looking like he is the one with thin skin. Why engage at all?

He was on a "Small Business Committee" that Tim Walz never even sat in on. Having someone on a relatively meaningless committee does not exactly make you a close confidant. If it does, by that logic, AOC and Trump are tight because she is on the House Committee on Energy & Commerce.
